However Markovitch was the thing that was worse than a Nazi sympathiser. She was an Irish socialist.

Don't tweet a post including the phrase "gobbledy gook" because the American algorithm has decided that instead of it having the perfectly normal British meaning of "unintelligible or meaningless language" it is supposedly "hate speech".

Rachel Reeves has already said that public spending won’t increase.

The problem might be that it's two seperate words, which is why their lazy wordfilter was able to pick it up. Still, I read an article claiming that even without the scunthorpe problem words like that can still come across a bit bigoted in certain contexts, if the context is talking about 'that person's language / dialect / accent is so unintelligible to me that it may as well be nonsense.' Can't stop myself, I'm an addict. Though I am trying to remember to just block all those right wingers who get in the 'for you' feed instead of reacting with a reply. I realize the more I react the more the algorithm will feed it to me. Then if I am really getting my blood pressure up, I force myself to log out so there's that tiny pause when I would have to log in again to read some more when I can think "do I really want to do this".

SA is the only thing resembling social media I still have an account for. I get through a lot more books now.

Ann Widdecombe keeps giving coffee morning talks in my posh rural town, mostly to promote her lovely book and give her some feeling of relevance in the world. She attracts the absolute worst of the boomer locals and has built up quite a following here. e: vvv I thought she was dead too until she started doing the coffee mornings.
