The most lossy of loss-porn: https://www.reddit.com/r/Teddy/comments/1bwmobq/its_been_84_years_my_wife_and_i_are_going/ A bunch of apes bonding over how their devotion to a dead towel store destroyed their marriages

Ehhhh this is just more sad than funny. Behind every one of these separations there's a partner beyond "over this poo poo" and it's probably destroyed their lives too to take such drastic action. Funny is "have fun being poor!" with a picture from three hours later of the person that said it not having fun being poor. Calling that "loss porn" just feels like a punch downward. Show me Musk in a soup line complaining about canned mushrooms and I'll laugh.

I'm sure this wasn't the first batshit crazy thing she had to put up with in the marriage. Maybe she can find someone to go see movies with who isn't completely off their nut, now. Funny, no. But not sad, either. More like hopeful.

Wait, what?reddit OP posted:Yeah, I have mixed feelings about it all. Maybe we were just never meant to be. Luckily we’re on good terms and are deciding to coparent. We have 2 girls 3 and 1 and a half. 84 years of marriage and they have a 3-year-old and an 18-month-old?

Yeah no none of the OP computes at all. But regardless to me it's not that funny because these idiots all have a blast radius. If it's some loner who dumped all their money into the tulips it's one thing but those people tend to be able to maintain the illusion longer because... no dependents. This batch of losers dragged another one+ in with them, likely hand-waving and hiding their activities the whole time until whoops, kids can't go to school also the house is the bank's now

When they think they're winning they're the first to crow about supercars, servants and trophy wives. Sure they have all managed to rope in a spouse n kids but honestly that's the biggest indictment of society, that no one can be so scornful or self satisfied that an obedient partner won't burn their own life and their children's too until till it's too late

Well, fellow goons, it's been 22 years with MY WIFE. We scrimped and saved whenever we could, bought a small (cheap) house and made double payments, and paid off the mortgage after about 13 years. Our kid is in college now, doing pretty well. We've lived a modest life, but we've found happiness in it. In 18 years or so I'll retire, and we'll continue to live modestly off the money I've been stashing away in a retirement account since I was 19, maybe do a little domestic traveling to see old friends, and we'll stay in this house until one of us can't get up the stairs any longer. Hopefully by then, Jr will have an idea about what to do with us; maybe we all move in together and Jr takes care of us the way I did with my parents. Just felt like the thread needed a boring life story where nothing explodes.

Wishing you the best!! Yeah, I have been driving my only car with no brakes for some time now. I use the emergency brake, and allow a longer following distance, …as well as a prayer before and after I arrive at my destination. My car also overheats after 2 miles. Lucky for me that everything I need is within 2 miles, my work, groceries, and even the gym. After my car rests for about 20 minutes …it’s ready to roll for another 2 miles. My point is that, a good number of us are indeed in the trenches. Try and stay positive bro, …everything is going to be alright. Even the apes told him to get his brakes sorted before anything else.
