A Honda Fit almost feels like cheating but regardless I'll contribute to small cars shaming cybertruck owners. Bathroom vanity and sink 271sq/ft if R21 fiberglass insulation Garage shelving I apparently never took a picture of the pellet smoker (green mountain grills jim bowie) that I brought home in the Fit. That one was close and if the lady loading it wasn't a fuckin' surgeon with the forklift I would have been unboxing the thing in the parking lot.

Meanwhile, my dad has broken rear springs on two different Ford Fiestas moving fieldstones to build a wall. Why he didn't just wander across the street and borrow the tractor and a trailer, I have no idea. Why he did it twice, I have even less of an idea. Is there a lift kit for the latest Fiesta?

My wife and I brought home a few hundred pounds of bricks in the trunk of our Civic to make a backyard patio.

I've carried a few hundred kg of palm tree trunks to the tip in my forester, pros were the weighbridge person let me dump them all for only one 100kg voucher, cons were it drove like a bag of warm poo poo, also all the spiders and insects from the trees were free to crawl all around the interior while I was driving and it was a massive pain in the arse to clean afterwards even after putting tarps down. Also took many 3-400kg loads of stuff to the tip in my old dual cab, it was a thousand times easier to load and unload and also afterwards you can just hose it out or just wait for it to rain who gives a poo poo if your ute is dirty and banged up. In conclusion, putting stuff in vehicles is a land of contrasts.

When I worked brick, we had a pair of 1 ton dually pickups for heavy hauling. A V10 Dodge ram and a 460 V8 Ford F350. The boss had a pretty good attitude about using them, "Try not to break the things. If it makes money, though, don't spare the horses." That did no good when we got both of them stuck (and actually breaking the Dodge) going up a long, slick, and steep red clay incline at a job site. The Spanish speaking guys being smart enough not to use their personal vehicles to do dumb poo poo, it fell on our mason's little trucks to haul four pallets of bricks up there, half a pallet at a time. One was a '93 3.9L V6 Dodge Dakota , the other an '83 2.8L V6 Chevy S-10. Completely destroyed the shocks on both, and killed the Dodge's transmission, but we got that poo poo up there alright. The boss had both trucks fixed over the weekend, we all made some cash, and I found a new appreciation for little pickups and skilled driving. Then again, I was always told to bring more truck than you need. After driving some awful combinations of truck and trailer, I stick to that. Always amazing what does kinda-sorta work. See: 24ft, 8ft wide enclosed car hauler trailer (reinforced floor, heavy duty axles, a big bitch) used to haul bread, fully loaded each morning. 2006 Chevy Silverado with a 4.3L V6 (a Chevy 350ci V8 with two cylinders chopped off, for our non-American friends). Shortest configuration, too. Single cab with a short bed. The absolute minimum 1/2 ton truck you could buy. It may as well have been a Tonka toy. I was told long before I ever drove it, "This truck is grossly inadequate for the task at hand. You have to think half a mile ahead. The interstate is terrifying." It was! The headlights were adjusted to be usable when towing, and pointed 6ft in front of the vehicle when unloaded. It took a good minute to accelerate to 60mph. 65mph was top speed. It could do better, but that's when a feeling of impending doom kicked in. You had to drive with one eye on the temp gauge and one hand on the brake controller. I missed my first left turn into a customer location (one I had serviced hundreds of times before) twice, because I couldn't slow down in time to turn. It was so loud at speed that it didn't matter if the windows were down or not (no A/C, in Florida, so I got to test that out). Truckers on the highway would angrily go to your left, see the tow vehicle get pushed around, and pull all the way to the right to complete the pass. Other delivery people laughed at my poo poo . Still, that combo made it 20,000 miles before we convinced the guy, "That truck is dying a slow death by 24ft trailer." The replacement? A 2016 Silverado 3500 V8 gasser, single cab, long bed. Night and day. No bubbles, no troubles. A/C! Cruise control!! Integrated brake controller!!! Not over the tow rating, even if you tried!!!! Also, $28,000 more expensive. Worth every penny.

I bought one brand new in like '91 and I loved it. Came without a/c the dealership had to install it, and after that I paid like $13k out the door for it. Wish I had a pic of it. It's funny because I had just got back to the states from Japan, and Suzuki here just started selling them so I knew exactly what it was, no one else had a clue about the motors they had in them. Rev happy motor, I beat on that car and it gave the Mustangs fits lol, they couldn't understand why I could keep up with them in a Geo Metro
