the Fred Again thing is very funny because apparently his wikipedia keeps getting updated with his absurd privileged upbringing and there’s a semi regular post on reddit when some young fan finds out and is really upset that he quite clearly had weighted dice for his entire life

also she clearly doesn’t watch movies because saltburn is quite clearly not a celebration of being posh, anymore than the great gatsby is supposed to be

If you remove the English Army tomorrow and hoist the green flag over Dublin Castle., unless you set about the organization of the Socialist Republic your efforts will be in vain. England will still rule you. She would rule you through her capitalists, through her landlords, through her financiers, through the whole array of commercial and individualist institutions she has planted in this country and watered with the tears of our mothers and the blood of our martyrs.

one of my way more cultured mates once exasperatedly gave me the news that the music world was exploding over the fact that Fred Again was Brian Eno’s grandson.

I had never heard of Fred Again and wasn’t really sure how to react to the news that Brian Eno had a grandson, disowned him, then made him his grandson again or why I should care.
