Having one battle royal with some goofy indy gimmicks and a guy with no legs isn't a big deal, and it's totally something that every old school promoter (aside from maybe Bill Watts) would have done. Same with the Texas Deathmatch thing; it's no worse than Cornette booking a loving mummy in Smoky Mountain because his money guy demanded it. I think some fans forget that wrestling is supposed to be fun, and not just at someone else's expense.

I love the TCM match so much, it was exactly kind of stupid crossover and it's cool that the ad revenue was donated to charity. I definitely get why it would get an induction just for being bizarre but I will always fondly remember it. It had The Real Leatherface™!

With Podcasts reminds me how one of the conflicts of my wrestling podcast was that when my 4 co-hosts wanted to be negative about AEW I always countered since they were going from angles that Tony Khan was racist because of the double standards in pushing Gresham in comparison to Claudio and Danielson. That Tony also was misogynistic in his women's booking (for context we were doing this show from late 2021-early 2023). And just talk about how Tony Khan should allow the wrestlers to unionize and how he shouldn't be in control of creative and also handle internal conflict better. It ended up falling apart because I thought they overthought everything about the podcast with having meetings to prepare for it instead of just winging it and shooting the poo poo for an hour about wrestling we watched with some leftist analysis. Bummed because "The Proletariat Lariat" was such a good name I came up with. Honestly makes me think of me losing my mind when Deadlock would review Dynamite and how they kept missing everything that seemed so obvious and clear.
