TG didn't have too many stairs, but they did have the "wait outside with your PC in the queue for over an hour" experience: By the time I went it was entirely different from the small demo parties, but it was still fun in its own way: Mine's the AOpen HQ45 under the desk.

If I remember right, this was at Insomnia in Birmingham, some time back in the early 2000s - and a strip club sent some of their employees in to hand out cards.

I wasn’t at this particular party but something about this picture just gives me pangs of nostalgia, it really captures a vibe I never experienced before or since.

Haha awesome edit! But this was basically how it was when the Cult "babes" walked around promoing stuff. Or AMD's booth babes. Until girls (gasp) finally began joining parties. But then they all (except Revision now?) had just become gaming conventions anyway.

I was actually looking at those on ebay the other day and you can get them for about $100 American. Weirdly the one I was looking at was also missing its Panasonic badge, those must rip off real easy.

I've fallen down a rabbit hole after I acquired some telco gear that supports ISDN BRI interfaces. I got this thing sort of working properly recently. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s29CHewGq-o The next thing I'm working on is ISDN dialup internet.

Kitchen gadgets, some old/rare DVDs VHS, and unknown brand name clothing that now has a group dedicated just to that brand. Even the non-chain stores are doing the same thing in rural-as-hell towns.

mitsubishi big screens had a 4-up display that would show a main program on one half of the screen, then use the other tuner to flip between 3 other channels every few seconds so you could keep your eye on 4 games at once, with the ability to flip the main program into the pip box that was active at the time. hah, forgot 10-up mode with 9 mini windows.
