When I want to relax, I read an essay by Engels. When I want something more serious, I read Corto Maltese.

This decision was a no brainer for bojo.
I don't imagine there was much choice, if he hadnt, i think that high profile resignations by people ike ben wallace and a whole lot of cross party criticism/rebellion would have ended him right there and then.

A no-brainer decision when it comes to Johnson is still up in the air.

Soviet society put a lot of pressure on people to have kids(and to have them as young as possible) way up until the late 80s. Lots of people who should never have had kids(or pets or plants) got manipulation into becoming parents.

It used to be the same in the west, but got a lot better after the 60s.

1,600 missiles, 400 vehicles and 60 boats sounds like it should cost well over two billion dollars.

Its government bookkeeping, so they might count them with a write-off or scrap value instead of replacement value.

The UK has a mountain of very capable Warrior IFV/APC's (at least versus the BMP poo poo that Russia uses) that had no problem dealing with Soviet era tanks and IFV's in the middle east, that are about to be decommissioned for the incoming Ajax.

It's not a Bradley, but it's a lot more capable than an M113. Those could really help the Ukrainians out. They were hated in Iraq because of a lack of air conditioning, but they were built and designed for a European war, with a nice chunky 30mm gun.

The funny part is that this is not necessarily even technically a lie. In addition to those ~100 functional planes, Ukraine had thousands of non-functional ones, of both older types and of the same types as their good ones. The VVS had many important bases on the territory of Ukraine, and when the Soviet Union broke up they simply left behind all the planes so obsolete that they were worthless. They were distributed on anything that looks like an airfield to work as decoys, and the Russians spent a lot of cruise missiles blowing up rusty old wrecks at the beginning of the war. There were a lot of embarrassing videos of Russians blowing up MiG-21:s on the ground.
