yeah they are also tethered to metal infrastructure of some sort. they are limited in the number of cabs that run on any one line to prevent running in to one another. they can also carry many passengers at once to increase efficiency. so maybe if we put the teslas on some kind of steel girder to reduce friction, limit the traffic so that crashes won't happen, and increase the number of passengers to make more efficient use of fewer cabs ...
