They are one of them yes. There are 2 types. Howler snd screamer. The little kids are screamers. The queue for know when they are around are the sounds of a small child crying and if they see you they run, hide, and scream. You have to kill them or it is bad, bad news.

The in-game lore is a theory that since they are small children they don't have a developed fight response so the flight response is overdeveloped by the virus. This is the opposite of adults who become more aggressive.

i think my next thing will be to see if there are any mods that make the combat more physics based but iirc something like that is super janky

i guess most zombie games the appeal is just gunning down hordes of largely helpless enemies so just killing a bunch of babies seems like the logical extension of that. coupled with the fact that most zombie stuff is about agoraphobia and usually racism things are not looking good for the zombie gamers

remember when BioShock tried to do a moral dilemma where you could kill little girls in exchange for more power BUT AT WHAT COST and it turned out that not killing the little girls got you more power in the long run anyway so there was no reason to do it

Question about Baldur's Gate 3 which I hope to start after I probably finish Wasteland in a couple days (if I don't get seduced back to Cyberpunk)

Is the Dark Urge option a good idea for a first playthrough or no? I have absolutely no idea what class or whatever I'll be playing yet. I've heard it's kind of cool if you're familiar with the plot of the first two games, but that's all I really know.

I played through twice. Once as a blind build your own character and a second time as a good guy dark urge who went to handle all the stuff I blundered through the first time with min/max completionist goodness. I really enjoyed both. Dark urge is well done and ties a lot more tightly into the plot once it all comes out in the third act, but it also kind of locks you into a particular narrative and idk I’m happy with the way I did it but I think if you just started as dark urge you’d probably still have a good time as long as you’re not put off by the murder theme

miami would be a good fallout setting. you could have giant mutant alligators and pythons, sinkholes, throw in a disney cult faction where they all wear mickey ears and do the mickey laugh, swamps, etc.
though i suppose animating a cool snake would be pretty impossible in gamebryo. not a lot of games with good snake or fish animation now that i think about it. xcom2 has some good snake stuff, but that's just a couple canned animations. i guess animating each vertebral segment to move fluidly would be a big demand, especially if they're going to move dynamically. would be similar to animating a cat's tail

well, you could just turn part of downtown into a rubble hill or have giant sinkholes everywhere. have a canal get destroyed, have the oceans boil away, whatever, there's room to make some verticality.
it's not like there's a lot of vertical differences in bethesda games anyway. skyrim is like the big mountain game but there's maybe 800 meters of difference from the high and low elevations and then you take an elevator to caveland or heaven.

That number is fake after level 50. I kinda like the way FO76 manipulates my R Brain. Number just keeps going up. Power can be optimized by level 50, but you probably didn't pick correctly for your first 30 levels so you can easily respec or collect the necessary perks by level 100 and if you're into it enough for some specific content then you can max that tree by level 180 then the number just gets so big because you're a good boy who does the event every hour for the past 3 years.
