a lot of big tubers also have an editor, it amazing how social media/pop media in general keeps tricking people into thinking these type of entertainment jobs are all one person ops(also ignore the nepo babies using their family wealth to brute force the first few years before they finally grow enough to be self sustaining)

They search for "thumbnail artist" and they pull up people that have marketed themselves as that role. in reality, just like any position on Earth, it's a made up role to better represent the type of work that position. The person marketing themselves as "thumbnail artist" is just as similar to someone that does advertising, or book illustrator, or magazine design, but they are willing to be contracted to do this job. They are making money from a niche no one is filling. Can you blame them?
