I will bravely take the Bryce Young poverty squad that’s on offer. I’ve been wanting to get into a dynasty league… lemme know what you need from me to get started.

One of my leagues dissolved so I had some bandwidth for fantasy to spare, but since it filled up it looks like you are back on track with your league. Spent 10 minutes too long looking at the teams and making coffee.

Marvin is a special enough talent that I don't have any quarrel with him going 1.01 in SF, especially if a team is already pretty solid at QB. Even when Caleb is going 1.01 I think MHJ is usually going above the rest of the QBs.

Admittedly I had 1.01 and 1.02 but Caleb was going over MHJ in my dynasty superflex no matter what.

What’s CMC’s worth these days in dynasty? It’s a salary cap league and he’s at 1/4th of a team’s cap at the moment.

His owner wants to move him but idk how much would be reasonable to give up to take on that salary.

I have 1.01 in my 12 team PPR superflex dynasty with .5 TEP, and I took Caleb 1.01. But I had to take him because Bryce Young was the only qb I had on my roster. This team was a total tear down tank and rebuild, I also had 1.06, 1.09, 1.10, and 1.12. I traded what should be a late 2025 1st to move up from 1.10 to 1.05 where I took JJ Mccarthy. Then I moved back from 1.06 to 1.11 and got 2.04 and 3.05 back. 1.08 is currently on the clock and I'm trying to overpay to move up one spot because Odunze is there and I don't want anyone to trade into that spot and take him from me.

Caleb is 100% the 1.01 in SF. Quarterbacks have more inherent value than other positions and he is one of the best quarterback prospects in years going to a stacked team. I am taking MHJ at 1.02 over any other QB because he's probably the safest pick in this draft.

This has to be the ultimate nature vs nurture test case. Caleb was created in a lab to be the best quarterback prospect since Jesus personally invented football 2000 years ago. He has every weapon you could ask for. There is no way he can fail.

And in the far corner: over 100 years of Da Bears

Keeping Eberflus (oh my god his name has entered my autocorrect) is honestly baffling. Like he obviously sucks. You’re either capping Caleb’s ceiling or forcing Caleb to learn a new system in a year or two when his dumb rear end is fired. This is the one time you absolutely should throw the baby out with the bath water!

I'm not 100% convinced Eberflus sucks. I thought he should have been fired also, but I understood the case for keeping him. That locker room loves him and he was handed a roster torn down to the studs, and the turnaround he had in the second half of last season where they had the number two scoring defense was noteworthy. When he finally had the horses on defense, he delivered.

I mean he's still a good starting QB and any of those teams without a QB would've traded multiple 1sts for him probably. To be fair to Trevor, his o-line was hot garbage last year, Ridley didn't work out, and Christian Kirk got injured.

Agreed. The offense was mismanaged from the jump, trying to force players into a scheme rather than implementing one based on the personnel they had, which is what fantasy players all focus on.

He might suck, he might not but it could still be poor team management sticking with a defensive minded head coach when everyone knows the inherent variance that comes with it, and probably more so when you have a rookie QB with huge potential and huge draft capital.

But as a Bears fan I’m conditioned to be cynical and pessimistic about the team.

In the end, I have so much confidence in Poles that I'm willing to give Flus the benefit of the doubt. The way they built their offensive staff is nice because they have multiple guys waiting in the wings if Waldron is poached. And I don't think that Flus being a defensive coach means he can't be a good head coach. They are two different skillsets. This is going to be a very telling year.

Dynasty superflex rookie draft today. These people do not understand how important these QBs are, I'm worried Rome won't fall to me at 6.

If they knew what they were doing they'd all take QBs. I have Mahomes and Stroud and I've given up hope on Nabers falling to me and now giving up on Rome. UGH

Just in the middle of mine. I have AR/Tlaw/Danny Dimes and think I made a mistake taking Odunze over JJ.

I am cautious because Rome looks like he'll be available but I already have DJ Moore. Dare I have more than one Bear on my team? Seems like a historically bad idea.

I traded up to the late 3rd to draft Kimani Vidal and the dynasty community must be hot on him as the Bucky Irving drafter (went early 3rd) wants to do a straight swap. I suppose he is probably worth the home run chance over the other day 3 rbs.

Re: Bears - if you believe in Caleb then I have no problem with having both - even though it feels like a foreign concept that the bears can have two startable wrs haha

If it helps any, here's ours from Wednesday. I have Mahomes and Bryce Young already and picked up Caleb Willams, so I should hopefully be decent at QB for awhile. I started the draft with 11 picks and through trading ended up with 8 and another first and second rounder next year.
