They're really obsessed with those PA Haley votes. Been seeing that everywhere. Weren't most of them mail-ins? Because I'm sure that taking 1 minute to flip Trump the bird is a sure predictor that they're lost to the Republicans forever. The 7% that voted for Dean Phillips meanwhile... Wait, I didn't see the write-ins reported when it happened. Biden had 12% protest votes. They're crowing over a +5% suddenly. Parakeet vs. Phone has issued a correction as of 07:06 on May 2, 2024 |

Those students did more than me and I didn't put my education or body on the line so who am I to judge their democratic decision?

Looks more like a tow chain, or frame (autobody) pulling chain. quote:No. Links the size of a fist are not standard bike chain locks. quote:Carrying an extra 10-15 pounds on a bike ride is highly unlikely. The chain links are obviously so big that they will not fit through most spokes, and so heavy that you need to take care not to lock to a part of your bike that might be damaged by supporting the lock's weight. quote:I'm sure the company that sells that as a bike chain - has photos to get an idiot to buy it really cool how insane your country is

I think the effort is worth recognizing even with the current outcome, they have spent more time on this and accomplished more than students at many other schools. a lot of the protests will result in less than this. it *could* end up having a net negative effect if it inspires the widespread application of this type of resolution in cases where a better outcome could be accomplished by sticking to it, but I think that remains to be seen at least for a little while. maybe I am naive but they have done more than I have so idk. they could take up the banner again in any case. mawarannahr has issued a correction as of 07:46 on May 2, 2024 |

Incredibly surprising that one year after a Chinese ballon caused mass psychogenic panic in a country, and after nearly 2 years bitching about magical Russian sonic weapons, the same country also goes apeshit over the kids complaining about the US complicity in a genocide.

It absolutely is sold and marketed as a bike lock but that thing is obnoxiously heavy. I wouldn't use it unless I'd spent a fuckton of money on my bike. Then again, it is Brown. Maybe they're all riding around three thousand dollar racing bikes, I dunno

Google Butt posted:Sorry to hear that, it's straight bullshit. My Spectrum bill would be increasing from $50 for 300 Mbps to $80 per month, which is insane. Ultimately, I ended up calling to cancel the other day, telling them I'm in the middle of the T-Mobile 5G home Internet trial for a flat $50/m and was seeing speeds up to 750 Mbps (true, by the way). They ended up bumping me up to 500 Mbps for $50 per month for a year, and advised me to do the same thing again at that time, lol. To be honest, it went better than I expected, but I'm still upset because millions aren't as lucky, especially if they don't have any ISP competition in their service area. In my state Spectrum's handing out a year of unlimited mobile service to make up for it.
