There’s different kinds of lube too. I think silicone lubes are both a bit slicker and last longer since they don’t wash off as easily. Edit:already answered about condoms while i was writing

i'd like to share my own penis question with the thread now: After sex, there's usually semen in my urine -- a little is ok, but sometimes it's a lot (not painful, but uncomfortable). So i want to figure out a way to minimize it without drugs or surgery. Has anyone experimented with different sex positions, rhythms, techniques, etc to minimize it? Or can anyone offer any insights into the biomechanics involved? Likely related: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retrograde_ejaculation Here;s some of my observations (spoiler'd for ppl who are disgusted by busting): * rushing to bust often leads to semen in the urine. * erectile dysfunction often leads to it. * low quality orgasm in general always leads to it. * maintaining a consistent or escalating erection all the way through seems to help. (so, no switching positions) * positions where i can point the penis downward during ejaculation seem to help (gravity assist). * if i'm beating off, and i'm watching myself bust, sometimes i see the 1st spasm fire off ok, then the 2nd one is missing or undersized, then the 3rd one is oversize, and the rest proceed as normal. when i see this, i know something has gone wrong! * keeping ideal rhythm, focus, and breath control leading up to the moment of ejaculation (allowing it to "charge up") can prevent the misfire described above and improve orgasm quality overall. but it doesn't always work / is easy to mess up (skill issue?) * abstaining for a long time (3+ days) between ejaculations also leads to it, even if i don't observe the misfire described above. thanks for reading my question -- im hoping for some expert help from any grandmasters of beating off that happen read this thread

I mean, if you’re having an issue with semen retention or ejaculation problems, etc then that’s something you have to talk to a urologist about. Unless there’s something going wrong with your plumbing I don’t see what the big issue is. Is it just gross or discomfiting to you? Does it cause you physical pain or discomfort? AFAIK it’s pretty common to have a little bit of semen dribble out after you’ve, uhh, shot your shot, so to speak.

my primary car physician told me that it's common, and most people don't seek a referral to a urologist unless all or most of the semen is ending up in the urine, which isn't happening to me. i.e., its not a problem, just a little uncomfortable. to clarify, my post isn't necessarily asking to solve a medical problem -- i'm seeking advice from others on ways to get better results, and maybe sharing my observations with others who have similar experiences.

No judgement, but what's your overall health like? Could this be caused by weight issues or poor pelvic health? Are you old? Do you have prostate or urination issues? I find that my plumbing is generally deteriorating with age, and I imagine that one could mitigate that somewhat by being in shape and maybe even doing kegels, but I am not a doctor.

thotsky posted:No judgement, but what's your overall health like? Could this be caused by weight issues or poor pelvic health? Are you old? Do you have prostate or urination issues? Health is decent, thanks for asking! i am getting to be well-aged, though, and this wasn't something that i noticed as a younger man. i do have an exercise routine that seems to help (because a lapse in working out seems to result in worse sexual performance overall). Prostate health is OK, but i have an even more disgusting post i could make about semen in the urine during BMs. Thankfully, this is infrequent, and im treating this as a separate issue, which i can remedy with prostate massage. When it does happen, though, it can make subsequent urination very uncomfortable. Abstinence reliably causes this problem, so i make sure to avoid that. My last doctors visit included a manual prostate exam, which came back all good 🙏

I'm incredibly prone to UTI's, even weirder because I have a penis. And if I don't pee after sex, I get milky urine the next day. My urologist said it's not a big problem unless I start getting actual infections. His advice is to to drink more water so it's more urgent to urinate after sex, and try to strengthen my pelvic floor. That's the best I got, maybe it's helpful?

Not sure what it would do for semen issues, but being dehydrated can definitely cause a bunch of other plumbing issues so worth a shot making water drinking a routine.

Bollock Monkey posted:Can everyone with medical dick problems please stop posting about their dick and see a doctor, with a follow-up or second opinion if the doctor you speak to is unhelpful? I don't think people should be stopped or discouraged from posting questions about their bodies related to sex and sexual health in the Sex Questions thread. Not everybody has access/easy access to a doctor, or can afford the throwaway price of a consult or specialist referral/etc for a question that they may not even fully be sure is pathological in nature or worth asking/dedicating an office visit to. Like if you're weirded out or concerned, or even curious, about something your dick is doing, but it's not causing you outright pain or bloody urine or whatever, I think you're within your rights to ask the Sex Questions thread about it instead of immediately booking time off work to go show your PCP your troubling hog. And also not everybody's PCP is gonna give them a good answer, be the best resource, etc. A lot of goons are trans, etc I didn't get any impression that anybody was hornyposting or trolling or saying anything inappropriate. It's weird seeing people get so mad about this I don't know what the state of The Goon Doctor is these days but if people feel like these subjects are more appropriate in a dedicated urology thread being answered by actual medical pros then we should be directing people there instead of simply telling them to gently caress off with their toilet busting also this thread is dead enough as it is, we shouldn't be telling people not to post here if they aren't breaking any rules trilobite terror fucked around with this message at 18:54 on May 2, 2024 |

Helianthus Annuus posted:Retrograde ejac stuff Perhaps it might be worth speaking to a pelvic floor specialist to see if there’s anything you’re doing “wrong” in terms of how you use your muscles? When I was a young buck, I discovered by accident that I could do a kegel while orgasming and have an orgasm without any ejaculation. This was handy and didn’t have any negative consequences attached. Some years later, I tried that party trick again, and got to enjoy not being able to sleep for the next hour or so while I went back and forth to the toilet feeling like I had to piss, with nothing or very little coming out. Classic UTI-type symptom, I imagine. Eventually I’d pee enough to have flushed everything out and I’d be fine. I’m not sure if when I was young the semen wasn’t making it to my bladder at all, or if it was but that wasn’t irritating. I suspect the former. Haven’t experienced it for over a decade now, because I haven’t tried to stop myself from ejaculating. My pelvic floor muscles have always been strong, I can stop the flow mid-piss no problem. I don’t know why the change occurred in what I experienced with trying not to ejaculate. Once or twice I have experienced some ejaculate while pooping. It felt like my prostate was having pressure applied to it when this happened so I’ve always assumed that’s exactly what happened on those occasions, and that pressure plus the muscular effort of bearing down caused some prostatic fluid to be expelled. Anyway, you’re not totally alone in the things you’ve experienced is the point here, though it sounds like you’ve got some more chronic stuff going on, which doesn’t sound super fun. Hopefully you can get some helpful insight from a medical practitioner of some sort!

Many years ago, before i knew the touch of a woman, i made it a point to strengthen my PC muscles, so i'm no stranger to kegels. i can stop and start the pee stream as much as you like, though this doesn't feel particularly good to do. If anything, i think my PC muscles are likely overdeveloped, because i have a history of sometimes blasting myself in the face during orgasm. (laugh out loud hilarious when it happens -- glasses wearers stay winning) So, perhaps i should be trying to relax and stretch these muscles more often? i tend to carry a lot of tension in other parts of the body, so it's plausible. This is a new idea to me, but there might be something to it, so thanks for the prompt! Here4DaGangBang posted:Helpful reply Thanks Mr Bang, it sounds like you and I both have taken an interest in developing our PC muscles.
