Does anybody else just hear a big farting arsehole whenever a politician says the words "levelling up"? Also, the whole thing about an anonymous Labour Akehurst saying that Hamas cost them the elections is extra funny (I mean, that part is not funny, it's grim as gently caress) because Labour have of course anonymously briefed back and said that statement is not representative of the party and not made by someone speaking for the party. Made the reporter look like a right oval office. Thing is, the Labour party absolutely 100% know who this is. If it were a left wing MP saying that Israel had cost a seat they would be named and out of the party in an instant, and rightly so.

He ran as a Green against Labour in 2019 and joined the Labour party during Starmer. Also the Labour loss in Edgeley was to a party of the only blairites to get deselected by the labour disciplinary process (because he refused to attend meetings with the left-wing CLP). The Labour candidate was going to be an actual socialist, but the party machinery deselected him at the last moment and imposed their own choice because he was too pro-palestinian on social media.

Basically be the perfect outcome right? As they might show some introspection and change how thhahahahahHAHAHAHAHA Yeah. Dream on. They'd scream from the rooftops how vindicated and better they are than Jimbly Crobbins before loving the country into the floor and proudly claiming they had to as they didn't get a supermajority due to evil antisemitic leftists. Chaos with Ed Milliband would be a lovely outcome.

Haha it would be amazing. I said a couple of months ago I reckon hung parliament at best for Labour. Would genuinely be the funniest result I think.

I mean it would be pretty good to see them try to wriggle out of making everything worse after an ultimate supermajority. But then we're basically living in a ruined mess at that point. I don't believe they've mastered the *just keep digging* grift and probably would gently caress it up hilariously and lose power. But that's still not going to lead to a jam allotment for every man, woman and child.

Lots of people saying that Susan Hall might win because so few labour voters turned out in London. Would be very funny if Keir managed to lose London by being so right wing and boring.

Can you really extrapolate from local elections how people will vote in the general? They're really quite different, locals are generally just the hardcore democracy enjoyers, and generals are for the casual just want to be involved types.a pipe smoking dog posted:Lots of people saying that Susan Hall might win because so few labour voters turned out in London. Funniest general election outcome would be that the Tories win having absolutely stripmined the country in expectation of defeat, and watching Sunak and Starmer both stare at each other in panicked confusion as the results are called.

Ironically, it's the same logic that makes it a great time for muslim Labour MPs to demand that whichever diseased scrotum made that "Hamas lost us the election" comment be publicly outed and yeeted from the party. Labour have officially said that whoever made the comment wasn't speaking for the party. So it would be the best time they're going to get to say "The person who said this appalling thing is still in the party, so unless this changes over the weekend we will be leaving Labour." Really sabotage all that positive media coverage that Starmer and his ghouls are desperate to roll in, like Akehurst in a var of piss.
