There were charter buses organized by ANSWER and other groups for the big protest in D.C. last fall; they'll probably be doing the same for the DNC.

But that was a one-day protest & many buses traveled at night both ways. I don't know what will be organized for Chicago, especially with the heavy police/fed presence & the city's unwillingness to allow any protests.

Cook County D.A. Kim Foxx has already announced a suspension of her policy to not arrest peaceful protestors during the convention (iow, they're prepping for mass arrests).

Per the convo a few days ago about these protests being far more organized than those during Occupy & BLM, the WSJ has an interesting piece up about it:

In March, there was a �Resistance 101� training scheduled at Columbia with guest speakers including longtime activists with Samidoun: Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, a Vancouver, British Columbia-based group that celebrated the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel. The administration twice barred the event, citing some of the organizers� known support of terrorism and promotion of violence. Columbia students hosted the event virtually nonetheless, which prompted Columbia President Minouche Shafik to suspend several of them.

During the session, which lasted nearly two hours, Samidoun coordinator Charlotte Kates encouraged students �to build an international popular cradle of the resistance,� according to a recording posted on YouTube.

The WSJ being the WSJ the story is also loaded with examples of gotcha quotes about the protestors loving Hamas & wanting to kiss it on the lips, but it's a good primer on how activists were trained & organized by groups who know their poo poo.
