Come for the sumo wrestler stonewalling Micah.

Stay for CJ teaching the sumo wrestler the “too small” taunt.

For context, he's facing off against an up and coming 17 year old there.

Still impressive, the second go-round. The technique/balance of sumo wrestlers is insane and for him to get onto the belt and get him offbalance, that's sick. Micah could find work for fun after the NFL if he wanted to go the Takanoyama Shuntaro route- a Czech judoka who wrestled at 190-220lbs throughout his whole career in Japan, including a couple promotions into the top flight

yeah Micah beat the guy in the 2nd round although who knows how hard the sumo was trying. There's a lot of similarities between OL/DL play and sumo. Of course holding penalties really limit what football players can do technique wise unless you are a KC OL then they just let you do it

Even without this context this video is ridiculously impressive on the sumo wrestler's part. There are not many humans who could just stand up Parsons like that.

The kid is good, but raw.

I'd love to see top end vs top end, but for innumerable reasons it'll never happen, maybe the closest we'll get is the Jordan/Babe Ruth/Caleb Williams of Sumo Hakuho taking on Steph Curry and Klay Thompson in his socks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVbNrUtsQtU

My extreme American ignorance on the subject matter of Japan and sumo leads me to believe that being a black, non-japanese person trying to break into professional sumo would be one of the hardest cultural things to do because of how... traditional... the sport and culture around it is.

Even for native Japanese dudes, sumo has hazing and coach abuse issues that make the NCAA look enlightened, so unless our hypothetical foreigner gets into one of the few (if any) stables that would actually look out for him, washing out for non-talent reasons is probably likely.

But Sumo and OL coaches could probably learn quite a bit from each other. Sumo can be similar to what no holds barred run blocking would look like - engage the guy in front of you and drive him back or take him out however you can.

Hello thread, I am looking to get into America football so I need a team to follow. Can I have a recom please. I am not a glory hunter so I don't just want to pick the last team to win the super bowl.

I tried doing this a few years ago and was assigned the browns but I hear their qb is a worthless pos so I don't fancy staying loyal.
