i work out in my garage which is not climate controlled, even in the summer. its doable but you just need to drink a lot of water. did it all through the heat dome last year. ideally i would just get up at 5 am and lift before it gets too hot but my son stays up so late that isn't doable. hard physical labor in triple digit temperatures builds character.

The same thing is happening all over the state. This isn't even necessarily a Mike Miles or Mike Morath thing. The buzzword I'm seeing from the vultures that are watching this all gleefully is that districts need to "rightsize" their programs. But it's an ugly combination of federal pandemic funds disappearing, post-pandemic chronic absenteeism and drop-outs (with funding being based on enrollment and attendance for schools), inflation, and no additional state funding to counter any of these shortfalls.
