A friend of mine who is a non-Jewish lecturer in Jewish Studies posted something on FB opposing "the weaponisation of antisemitism" and the first response was from a Jewish person who posted that "this rhetoric is just another example of how Jews are being ignored." He's posted a fair bit since 07/10 and is by all measures a fairly mild critic of Israel but the comments he gets from other scholars range from idiotic to unhinged. It's all some flavour of "gentiles have no right to say anything about Israel" or "the rest of the world just doesn't get it!" Also found out through this guy's FB that sadly but unsurprisingly the Israeli guy from my PhD cohort whom I was friendly with has gone certifiably insane over the last few months.
