Mr. Apollo posted:Whenever I've seen videos of spike strips being used, they usually end in some sort of accident To be fair, if the video didn't end in an accident, then you wouldn't be watching the video in the first place. Why would you upload or watch a completely asinine uneventful video where nothing happens? Your not gonna find a video with millions of views where the spike strips stop the car in an orderly and controlled fashion, then the driver peacefully surrenders without a fight. Because it's loving boring. Renegret fucked around with this message at 18:46 on Dec 18, 2018 |

A police officer once told me that if you can get away when there's just one car on you, you have a pretty good chance. Once there's multiple police cars, you're probably done. Once they get the helicopter out, according to him, absolutely no one gets away.

None of the people they caught got away. Seems legit.

Employers organizing a competition based around a job activity is something that happens. Although it's usually something like a travel company having a trivia contest about vacation destinations.

I always annoy my friends when I show my country roots and take them to the local agricultural show and then spend my day ignoring the rides and watching giant hairy men chop wood and shear. As a kid, it was always my favourite part of Wide World of Sports, too.
