There are two types of people when it.comes to going on vacation or any kind of trip.

The first type is someone who has everything packed and ready, spare chargers, spare socks, everything ready to go usually a day or two before the vacation is going to start, or if it's a more rushed trip, they have everything packed and ready hours before the Uber get there.

The second type is someone who is packing as the Uber pulls up, as they realize they have to finish doing their laundry, and oh they might need to get a spare charger but they get distracted. Looking for the sunglasses they really want to take, and then they start looking online because they wonder what website they got the sunglasses on, and they wonder if they have time to order a spare pair. They may or may not have their boarding pass printed somewhere at some point, and hopefully they remember that they forgot to buy a suitcase before they try to pack.

And these two types of people always marry each other.

I have a problem. I have been a gamer all my life. I enjoy all sorts of games and I enjoy tweaking and learning about said games. This gaming forum is a wonderful place for just those things, and many more things game related. The people here are intelligent, know their games, and are sometimes quite helpful.
Now, here is my problem. As much as I love to game and commune with fellow gamers, I find it increasingly difficult to maintain a presence here in the games forum because of rampant profanity and an atmosphere that resembles a pack of jackals waiting for unsuspecting innocent prey to sink their vile, vulgar, pseudo-intellectual teeth into.
I feel this atmosphere may result from an elitist attitude held by many of the goons here. This is to be expected. Just ask a network administrator, or better yet, one of the users he(she) administers. They will most likely tell you that the admin has a God complex. Ok, I can deal with a bit of narcissism. What I can not deal with is unneccessary profanity and vulgarity. It is really quite hard to read. Harsh on the eyes even. Some may argue that this is a 'mature' forum and as such we should be able to swear at will with no regard for our fellow men, but I say to you that such a place bears no resemblance to maturity. No, such a place is adolecent at best, with regards to the use of language.
I implore all of you, think twice before you let fly a four letter word. Think of a word better suited to what you want to say. Something funny, something witty. Remember there are people out there sensitive to these words, especially, and I know this is the rarity, younger perople.
I am eager to hear from anyone that wishes to comment. Thank you for your time.
