Olympic Mathlete posted:This car looks the poo poo and also makes the good noises. Rotaries always sound like they just want to race. I wonder if they made their own 26B or bought one of the new-old stock ones. Does it sound to anyone else like it's going 1 and 3 at the same time and 2 and 4 at the same time? I've seen custom 4-rotor engines where the eccentric shaft is just up-down-up-down as opposed to 90° offsets between lobes, due to the easier engineering of just welding together two 13B shafts.

This made me chuckle when it came through my feed: https://twitter.com/smclaughlin93/status/1463610935462043663 For context, at the Bathurst 1000, after qual the top 10 head to the shootout, a solo hot lap that determines the final grid. Murph's 'Lap of the Gods' is indeed iconic even though it's been surpassed in speed many times since. The classy bit, is the guy quoting and agreeing, Scott McLaughlin, is one of the guys who's gone faster, a couple times. This lap is iconic because he was the first driver to go under 2:07, (2:06.859) he was SO much faster than Bowe in 2nd, the lap was clean as hell despite being on the very edge, and helped by the car spitting flames everywhere. McLaughlin 2017 2:03:831 with some slides and a flick in the dirt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jHUjT02OhY 2:03:378 in 2019, clean and fast, what impresses me is how fast he is through the kink at the end of Conrod into The Chase and just how late he brakes. Fastest corner in touring cars at least, with Supercars hitting 300kmh, holding flat through the kink before hammering the brakes for The Chase at 120kmh. 8.26 if the embed doesn't work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPOcXmWDlHU&t=506s My other fav, Brock 1991, on 3 wheels, 2 wheels, some massssive slides, car belching rich black exhaust https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlcEr6MT9fI

I would assume at this point that a usb floppy drive presents itself as normal usb storage. I doubt either of these cars have “floppy support”, they’re reading files off of usb storage which happens to have a floppy disk behind it.

The car itself doesnt care whats on the other side of the USB controller, it's only really concerned that it can talk to the controller in the first place.

Yeah but the amusement comes from some dork actually trying this out, not that it can read USB storage as USB storage no matter how tiny and pointless it is to do.
