Snowcrash was the #1 "Book i kept hearing was great, but when I got around to reading it finally, it was terrible" to me until Ready Player One came out. Seriously, the guy who recommended me it told me it was better than any of the William Gibson novels. Yes its a parody, but I always found the core setting stuff stuff around cyberpunk really silly like VR hacking and street samurai. Good commentary on technology and capitalism though. A funny thing about Nibiru, that yes it appears in Sumerian texts, along with Annunaki and other elements of Sticthen's cosmology, but they never appear together. It's like if Aliens visited our civilizaiton and assumed that Spider-Man and Solid Snake were related because both appeared in our fiction. Its funny how his works still have adherants because we've translated everything from Sumer by now, and back when Sticthen was writing it was only translated in small parts and those weren't easily accessed by the public. Now you can google up the full text of the Epic of Gilgamesh and other works and realize its all full of poo poo. He loved to just make up stuff, like saying that rocket ships were mentioned by Gilgamesh or that this place name means "the landing place" or "Place where the gods came out of their rockets" and so on. While i'm on this tanget, isn't it odd that anything to do with ancient aliens never goes past the Apollo Progam? Like they always use phrases like space capsules (Capsule!!) and the tech is always just radio and such.
