Yeah I'm like 99% sure Vox is just listing what the attached mods on the legendary AMR-16 do. They're not that much better than what a base game AMR-16 can accomplish; the stat boost itself is probably +4 accuracy. It's like how people were freaking out over how pay-to-win higher tier skins were at the beginning when all they did was just come with weapon mods pre-installed.

I don't get skins now that you mention it folks. So, I bought this M308, and I can't put stock on it or something because lack of skin is a skin that overrides the effects from that attachment or something?

No, you can't put a stock on it because you don't own any of the stock mods. Weapon mods along with mask materials are drops at the end of a map. Once you get a weapon mod you pay in-game money to put it on your gun. Skins sometimes come with pre-installed mods that you can change at any time unless it is a legendary item. These skins cost real money most of the time.

Hence, the question is - the gently caress is going on, do the guns now come with default skins that lock some mod categories out or something? Could you give me a specific example of a gun and mod so I could launch the game and see this for myself? I'm trying to be helpful but I've never encountered this issue.

I remember with the first set of skins and the immediately available unlocker, you could actually modify the legendaries and still keep the built in boosts (the ak had all its actual numbers on the barrel mod), so I made an unfair op 100 acc 100 stab AK for the hell of it

There's no M308 skin that exists that does that. Or any skin that does that that isn't a legendary, so I don't know what your specific issue is?

I got to see Hardcore Henry tonight, it's a fun little action film, and it makes me appreciate Jimmy all the more. Also the first time that the movie cross-over has been a two-way street, even if it's the smallest of nods!

Not really a spoiler, but I'll tag it just so anyone who is planning to see it can enjoy that bit for themselves: At one point Jimmy tells Henry to load up on guns from the drawer, and Jimmy's lovely duct tape skull mask is in the drawer next to a load of guns. It's a lot better than the Hitman tree including akimbo skills because they're "a favorite of John Wick", when he literally never holds two pistols at once in the film.

It seems like Ghost combined with Fugitive. What's left for Fugitive? Akimbo, for sure, but looks like the major concealment and dodge stuff was put here. Also digging that some "useless" skills are combined with other, better ones, like Dead Presidents now being part of Sixth Sense. Shockproof is here though, that's kind of weird. At least now this seems to be a more viable tree for loud, but is that really what we needed?

Well that's.. interesting. - Covert Ops does a good job of taking most of the stealthy things and putting them together. It's a good tree for what it's supposed to do, and moving things like camera loop and faster lockpicking down in cost is a good thing. Two deployables in the same tree is an interesting choice. - Commando is a bit weird. I'm vaguely annoyed at having to climb further for Cat Burglar's fall damage reduction, but it's at least attached to the bonus movement speed and the extra stamina. Thick Skin and Shockproof being there are... weird. They really don't seem to belong at all. Also not sure how I feel about Sneaky Bastard being down below Low Blow - it seems to make sense for how they usually match up, but it kinda also restricts crit-focused builds. - Silent Killer looks great, though. Unseen Strike sounds like it'll be awesome on dodge builds, and Dire Need is a bit niche but is definitely useful.

Fast hands being removed and that bagging speed being normalized is so good though. Also, I love that they crammed like 5 different skills into one super-movement skill.

I like the silent killer tree, +50% accuracy will really help LMGs and bullet hose SMGs with extended mags. It's a shame shockproof can only go downhill from taser chaining ad libitum.

Took some time and went through to see just was still missing, skill-wise. Basically, we're missing all the pistol skills (Leadership, Equilibrium, Gunslinger, Pistol Messiah, Trigger Happy, Akimbo), the SMG skills (SMG Specialist), the melee skills (Pumping Iron, Berserker, Martial Arts, Counter-Strike). There's also a couple that look like they're eliminated - Dominator and ECM Feedback are implied to be, Kilmer looks to have been broken up between the Sharpshooter and Oppressor trees. I think we all know that, though. Interestingly, there's a few others that are missing: - A lot of stability/durability related stuff - Tough Guy, Nerves of Steel, Thick Skin (basic), Nine Lives. These could be lumped in with things like Swan Song perhaps? - Both of the silent kill skills (Shinobi and Hidden Blade Ace) are missing, so that's possibly in here or may have been taken out entirely/made inherent. - Run And Gun, Duck And Cover and Moving Target are still untouched. - Cleaner's 5% bonus to specials is missing. - No Fast Hands - which might have gone away, like the faster bag carry of Transporter. - Mag Plus is up in the air, since you've got a few weapon-specific versions but nothing universal. - lol Brother's Keeper There's enough here that they could make 4-5 trees just out of existing skills without new ones. We might be in for a surprise with a sixth tree.

Aced Shinobi/Hidden Blade are now baseline, as is Fast Hands. Run and gun basic seems to be part of the new mega skill Evasion. Seems that will replace basic Shinobi all together. The way I see Fugitive going down is down right awesome atm. I think we'll get a SMG/Pistol tree with akimbo being the top tier for it. A survival tree with Tough Guy, Nerves of Steel, all the little bits and pieces we've seen removed from other trees. Topping that will be Swan Song with Nine Lives and a reworked Pistol Messiah combined (I love these new super skills). Then we'll have a melee tree with Berserker and god only knows what as a keystone. We still don't know how the new melee engine will work. Only thing I am unsure of is Transporter basic. Hoping that will be made baseline after some community discussion. Edit: Almost forgot, 1 or 2 NEW tools/deployables. Metalocalypse fucked around with this message at 18:48 on Apr 8, 2016 |

Moving Target got lumped in with Evasion aced, as did Run and Gun basic - although I don't see the bonus to steelsight movespeed. But yeah, some sort of "resistance" tree with poo poo like Nine Lives, Swan Song, Brother's Keeper, Nerves of Steel, etc. will most likely be the third tree, and given how much better Swan Song is than all of those it'll probably be at the top. RIP having Inspire, Low Blow/Sneaky Bastard, Akimbo, and Swan Song. At least the new FAKs will prevent downs, so I can pretend Swan Song would happen less anyway.
