Doug Pederson's offense wasn't working under Wentz but I still think it won't really work now if he tries to bring back the 2017 Eagles. Nothing wrong with mesh concepts and RPOs it's just that teams watch for that poo poo now and build defenses accordingly. I also don't really see TLaw flourishing under a WCO either. It's a gamble hire.

During the Super bowl run and throughout that season, He somehow eked out third down results that were basically historic, and he did it with cars and Wentz and Nick foles, so on the one hand you have to imagine the guy has something, on the other hand, you have to wonder if that's something is a magic trick that only works for a little while

It's tough to judge Pederson's future performance by his final year or so in Philly because his quarterback was actively ignoring his every word at that point I don't expect Jacksonville to suddenly be a contender or anything but I think Pederson is a good-to-very-good coach and I'd expect them to be a considerably better team with him at the helm.

his offense clearly isn’t McVay/Reid tier but receivers were getting open (especially mid depth between the numbers iirc) and the line was good at pass blocking, Wentz just wasn’t seeing the field and sailed centerfield passes when he did idk if he will work out with Lawrence cause I know jack dick about Trevor’s skill set and it’s possible Pedersen only has the one trick, so it is a bit risky. I think he excelled at the CEO aspects of coaching in Philly but he brought Press Taylor to be OC which seems like a meh hire at best

Well it beats the living christ out of wasting Lawrence's first year "learning" under Urban Meyer and whatever the gently caress that was. And the fact remains that the only time in his career anyone thought Wentz was worth a poo poo was in his first two years under Doug and he's still the only coach that brought a trophy to Philadelphia. With Nick loving Foles to boot. A lot of people attributed Carson's success to Frank Reich and...well... I like Pederson and think he got a raw deal with the Eagles. I hope he does well in Jacksonville because god drat this franchise is a joke and lord knows he's got his work cut out for him.
