Alright full story

I'd been at the table for about three hours at this point. It was largely an uneventful night and there wasn't much action at the table. I was basically just paying to sit there often going multiple orbits before hitting something like Q9o UTG. A kid comes to the table who seems a bit tipsy and clearly is from out of town and makes a large raise on his first hand. One player calls and after a dry flop the new kid overbets again. The other player folds and I tell myself he's either a drunk tourist who's looking to throw their money away or they hit the 'dealt a monster for their first hand' that happens so often. Second hand he folds and then it's his third hand at the table and he overbets in the hijack. I'd already folded since I had 73o but I was really interested in watching this play out instead of going back to my phone to see if this kid was throwing his money away or actually knew what he was doing.

The button calls and the kid overbet the pot again on the 867 rainbow pot. At this point I'm pretty polarized in thinking he either has gotten very lucky twice or just doesn't like having chips that much. The button snap calls which I found even more surprising. I was thinking maybe he had to overcards and was thinking this player was just bluffing? Who knows. Turn pairs the six and again with no hesitation the kid overbets the pot again and the button snap calls. The OMC to my left and I exchange a bewildered 'wtf is going on??' glance. At this point I was still pretty convinced it was a LAG player firing everything he had into the button with a strong overpair.

River pairs the eight. The kid thinks for a whole three seconds before checking it to the button. The button reaches for his chips and thinks for a bit. I get my first real tell as i notice from across the table that his hand is very noticeably shaking. He shoves and the kid snap calls. I was sitting there stunned when I saw the overturned hands and it wasn't until I heard the dealer yelling, "FLOOR" that I realized what just happened.

For a while the kid thought we were all excited because it was just an insane hand and it took me a bit to explain to him that he just won a new car. It finally sunk in when he realized players from the other tables were walking over to see the board and taking out their phones to take pictures. That's when he finally stood up and started running laps lmao

Amazing! I love a BBJ, only hit one once ever and that was online where I had the winner of the hand. Can't imagine the energy hitting a live one

I was at a table with a BBJ at Commerce. It wasn't really big, definitely not $7.5K. They held up the table and considering the size of Commerce lots of people came by to snap a photo while they went to get the money. I forgot what I ended up getting (wasn't involved in the hand, just at the table).

Good job sitting at a table PIZZA.BAT :p

I'm confused. Do you think it was a hard fold? The way the other players played, i don't even think I'd need to think before folding.

Once Hart puts in a 3bet, unless I have stone reads on everyone involved I'm absolutely convinced I'm behind with aces there

E: that said I wouldn't be putting most of them on their holdings; I'm mainly expecting a set somewhere as well as a diamond draw. Not many 2 pair combos out there unless people are defending thin (which it turns out they were)

Based on position calls preflop, I definitely think one of those guys has a good chance at two pairs or open ended straight/flush draws. I'll call 57 suited on the button there preflop. I honestly can't think of any way my Aces are good there against three other players.

it was more a joke about how the other players played their given hands pretty badly (well maybe just killa k).

its a 5/5/10 game and the shortest stack in the hand has $3K+ so people in the game are committing ~300BB with 96dd where you just flatted and watched two people after you raise. and those two people who raised in front of you saw you coldcall after a bet/call/raise sequence, and did not care. 96dd could have some equity, or you could be drawing dead.. its not a 100% committed pot... you certainly don't need to commit the rest of your $2600 after only putting in $425.

Poker player mistakenly gets busted out of WSOP main event final table. What that clip doesn't show is:

1) Commentator adamantly saying that the river was an 8 when the Twitch chat started kicking off about it being a chop. Even though he'd read out the cards as they were dealt correctly.

2) Stream mods banning any mention of the incident and stopping chat all together.

2) The KingsCasino stream deleting all the videos, VoDs, and clips of it actually happening.

PokerNews says it's the first time this kind of thing has happened on a live stream.

Once kings goes all in, I'm not sure I can call there with the second pair of kings. 5 bet and then an all in really can't be anything other than aces. I know you're not supposed to fold kings, but what the hell could he possibly have?

Yeah honestly I know you're kicking yourself for the rest of time if neither of them has aces, but absent of a read, holy gently caress 99% of the time one of them has it

PIZZA.BAT

not like it helps at all but he could have been thinking one other has kings and the other was bluffing so maybe you’ll chop. there’s also the chance both of them have rockets and you at least have an out while they’re both stuck praying you don’t hit the king

the latter explanation doesn’t help much but at least it’s something. it’s a really tough spot to be in. i don’t think i’d be able to fold because what are the odds someone else has the kings AND the other guy has rockets vs. all the other possibilities of someone overplaying their hand? i wouldn’t fold either and i’d probably go sit and stare at a wall for a real long time afterwards

edit: i had this exact situation happen to me in a sit and go a few months ago too. granted in such a format it’s way easier for people to shove with lesser hands but when the second guy called the all in i was just thinking ‘what the gently caress do these guys have? it’s early in the tourney they can’t both have kings. maybe someone else has rockets?’

my rockets held

Some info about Global Poker

They have daily bonuses….. play a real quick cheap game and go from $0.50 to a few bucks sometimes, (only to waste it all on table games, of course).Daily bonuses are like $0.25-$0.55 a day, $1 on the 7th day, and surges can happen where it can be like $2-$3 for a few days

They also have three forms of essentially free fames.

1) During the night time they have a free $100 tourney every two hours, top 50 players with the SC (real money) stuff

2) The minor daily bonuses i mention before. Pretty much mini quick tournament games. 3 players, win a minimum of 2x your bet, quite a few times 3x, and on rare occasions more

3) daily $500 tournaments and weekly $5000 tournaments. Play 50 of the free gold coin ring games (I believe this is just see the flop) in a day for $0.11 entry. You can open multiple games and play 50 of the fake games very quickly, like, less than 10 minutes. The Weekly is the same price with 500 gold coin ring games play as an entry). You daily should be enough to play it.
