I read it more as that it just hasn’t happened yet but what going to, which turned out to be a good thing because the school would have owed Schiano something. With these recent reports Currie may not be as dumb as we thought and just set up to fail. I’m willing to give him a tiny bit of leeway in light of the Leach stuff.
