It's in a thread about how in the future there will be no keys, no burger flippers, and no incandescent lightbulbs. Which of course means half the posters are proudly shouting that they have a lifetime supply 2-3 years, tops of incandescent lightbulbs because FUB0.

The extended joke is that whenever there's a "female teacher molests underage male student" scandal Laz inevitably drops in to "hot or not" on the perp and opine as to whether he'd "hit it".

IMHO, I think all of it will go over the heads of younger children. HOWEVER, my opinion is that it doesn't belong there because it doesn't do anything to promote or extend the story line. Why is it there? It is there to promote a political/sexual activist agenda. Not too overtly; but, it really doesn't belong there at all.

Tumblr is great for some things, but none of those things relate to discussions that are anywhere close to being easy to follow. Reblog-and-reply is awful. The only handful of lefty echo chambers I know of are centered around reddit, and they have their own set of mock subs to keep those in check. They also tend to have mock subs for mock subs, and that's where the real fun is. Reddit is mostly useless except for the meta game, cute animal pictures, and porn. Tumblr is much the same, only without the meta game and the cute animal pictures, as the only ones willing to deal with the asstastic discussion system there are people with broken brains all across the political and social spectrum.

Man, freep is deep in conspiracy land tonight.

From Whistleblower Tapes: Trump Wiretapped By ‘The Hammer,’ Brennan’s & Clapper’s Secret Computer System posted by freeper drewh

The article is on a site called "The American Report." To give you an idea about what this site is about, here are two images from pages linked in their top of page menu.

The "editorial" section, in which the linked article appears, seems to be nothing but copy and paste or reworks of articles on other sites. In fact, the article seems to be a retread of Joe Arpaio's Posse Investigator Mike Zullo's Secret Recordings, in the Phoenix New Times, which I've also never heard... but it at least seems to appear like a legitimate news source. The rehash of the piece embeds multiple audio clips from the original, but makes up a whole bunch of stuff.

Here's some of the "American Report" article.

quote:

That system, THE HAMMER, according to the audio tapes, accessed the phone calls, emails and bank accounts of millions of ordinary Americans.

The tapes also reveal that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance court (FISA), Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, 156 other judges, members of Congress, and Donald J. Trump were targeted by the HAMMER.

One of the audio tapes made public by Federal Judge G. Murray Snow revealed that Brennan and Clapper particularly targeted and wiretapped Donald Trump a “zillion times.”
The original article makes no mention of FISA. For a more direct compare/contrast, though...

American Report posted:

Montgomery also contends that the government can plant files such as child pornography or state secrets on a target’s computer, setting up the owner of that device for blackmail or framed prosecution.

Phoenix New Times posted:

In the 2013 recordings titled by New Times as, "What could you do?" and "Monitor's, Arpaio's Whatever," Zullo and Mackiewicz talk to Montgomery about what's in his database of information reputedly from the CIA.

In the former, Zullo wonders how someone could be ruined with the personally identifying info in the database. Montgomery suggests that, hypothetically, this could involve uploading child porn into someone's e-mails or using banking information to implicate someone in tax-evasion.
Quite a transformation there. We're looking at the most insidious type of Fake News here. When you pop the names involved into search engines, you'll find that they're real people that are talking about real things, but they aren't just being taken out of context, entirely new things are being attributed to them.

So, the real question we're about to ask is how badly freep is going to fall for this. Please keep in mind that the Infowars story from earlier today also involve Arpaio and the investigations around him in some way, which may allow freepers to believe the two stories are linked. We know this one is completely fake, and we know the other is on Infowars and we can imply it's fake until given evidence otherwise.

Freep, what do you think?

I ran into one a couple of months ago right here on FR that I suspected of that. It was a perfectly believable story about a car that ran into a bunch of BLM protesters blocking a highway, killing 3 or 4 of them.

Except it never happened, and the site looked completely legitimate. It was only until you drilled all the way down to the “About Us” link when it became apparent the site was bogus. Not like The Onion, which is satire, and only idiot liberals can’t tell the difference. This site looked and sounded real.

When I gave it some thought in terms of cui bono, I could think of no reason it would benefit a conservative to create that site, but immediately thought of a few reasons leftists would.

I've been assuming that if a headline doesn't appear on freep, they aren't noticing. No, they're totally noticing, they're just choosing to not discuss it. I think that says a lot.

Also, can someone PLEASE ask EXACTLY, PRECISELY HOW the Russians influenced the election? Maybe like Soros and the American media.....by giving money to the campaign of their choice? Media had and used opportunities to help Clinton campaign via donations and positive reports!

To the best of my knowledge, saying something you believe to be true is not a crime. If Trump hurt Obama’s feelings by saying Obama ordered wiretapping, Obama’s recourse is to sue for libel, and prove in court that the statements were both consciously false and motivated by malice, and that they caused him measureable damage.

Obama must have something big on Comey. Why is he so personally offended over this, and desperate to exonerate golf bum?

Comey, the media, the Congressional imbeciles, et al, are ignoring (some deliberately, others through stupidity) that the NSA was ALREADY surveilling Trump, pre-Obama.
What Obama’s administration ordered (presumably with his knowledge and approval) was for NSA raw source data to be promulgated throughout 16 investigative agencies, all of which are jam-packed with leaky Democrat partisans.

Was the NSA conducting any surveillance of Trump, his associates, Trump Tower, etc., EVER? That is the question that must be answered. The snakes are now set up for the evidence to come out. Putin, Assange, anybody — bring it on.

That said, yesterday I came across a member on this board who was having a bird because Trump was spending too many weekends in Mar-a-Largo. Her rational was nothing short of shameful for a FR member. She wanted President Trump to cut back along with the rest of the people in DC, given that he is cutting the budgets of Federal agencies.

I’ll repeat it...she is worried about the rats in DC that might lose their jobs and thinks Trump should stay in DC to save money. Never mind that DC is a rat infested hole; never mind that everyone in DC has a bullseye on his back and the backs of his family; never mind that the SS cannot keep them safe in the WH.

Instead of thanking President Trump for working 7/24 even on his weekends in Florida and his family for putting up with some of the worst behavior even from Rinos, she wants them to “suffer”. I have never run across anyone on FreeRepublic who was so selfish and mean spirited...it blew my mind.

As far as I am concerned, Trump can go to Florida every weekend...he deserves it; the man is killing it for the American people and this little brat wants them to “suffer”.

Shameful beyond all get out!!

Second, from Trump's job approval rating up 4 points, near 50% posted by freeper Sidebar Moderator

We don't usually see them use the admin sockpuppets to post stories, do we?

So the headline on this may be misleading. Rasmussen isn't polling the general public, only "likely voters." It's also a tracking poll. Their questioning divides opinions into "strongly approve" and "strongly disapprove." When you take the "strongly" numbers into account, only 35% will "strongly approve" of Trump, while 42% "strongly disapprove." The total approval rate is 49%, thus the headline.

But it's better news for freep if you only care about the headline. Will they be willing to believe it?

Gallup 37%

Rasmussen 49%

I guess we're going to have to decide for ourselves what the truth is. We sure aren't going to find it in the "polls".

Polls like Gallup, Fox and CNN have no credibility because they still use legacy live operators rather than the new technology, which was much closer to the mark on election day.
