I've bought the only song they have on it so far (Denature) and it's scary stuff, even for me. Reminds me of a harder/psychedelic Immolation. Loved their first ep, didn't know this was coming out, thank you

Vintersorg posted:Pit songs gently caress it, posting some of my favorite songs I have been punched in the face to, independent of artist quality so don't @me. 15:50 if it does not work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcxSCaKqm0M&t=956s Without a doubt, the fastest I have seen a floor go from 0-100 was at a Soulfy show in like 2003. Before they played tribe it was a pretty normal show as E- Town Concrete did not exactly set the world on fire. And from the moment the riff kicked in it was absolute bedlam. The rest of their set had the entire crowd going wild. It ruled. I just got bounced around from one side of the floor to the other, went home battered and bruised. I don't even like them that much, but that memory is vivid to this day. Also Kittie was just there for some reason and i met them and got a hug from the lead singer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG5N9nBsiE4 I was sadly not at this specific hatebreed show at Harpos (i lived in Indiana then) but was at one like 6 months later that was just as packed, was loving fun as hell. Hatebreed is basically always a great live show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0R5xNGVqOg I don't care how loving dorky it is, doing poo poo like this at Amon Amarth is fun as hell, and the pit was rocking the entire night as well. I'll lump the rest of folk metal in here as well as normally its just a big party in the crowd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_LEoluCHJA Machine head live was awesome and i got my rear end kicked, Best time I saw them was at the Royal Oak Music Theater, which is as nicer venue where they had the dude in the bathroom to give you a towel, and it was just a bunch of sweaty metalheads reeking of beer and weed.

I think the scaredest I ever was in a pit was at NoFx. It was insane. I was like that lizard meme on the speaker and just bounced around. Almost lost my wallet. I walked back and enjoyed from afar haha Didn’t think it’d be that intense after watching The Mad Caddies open hehe

Destroyer 666 had the most insane pit I've been in. The entire floor was a riot form t he first note to the last. I was at the back of the crowd, to getting my head slammed against the stage, and then at the back again constantly because of how much everyone was moving.

when I was 15 I went to a 1349 concert and smoked weed for the first time before the show, got absolutely loving terrified of the music and makeup bc i was stoned off my gourd, and got kicked in the head in the pit and got a pretty bad concussion. Why was there a mosh pit at a 1349 show? Good loving question Kvlt! fucked around with this message at 05:55 on Feb 9, 2022 |

I do not go in pits but because I am short I usually stand outside of them because the view is better. However this practice has led to me: -getting tippered at a Gojira show -taking a fist to the solar plexus during a Ringworm set -getting knocked on my rear end during a Convulse set because the pit opened without me noticing

dad pit time. i was at one of the last damageplan shows and there was a weak-rear end pit going on in front of me but that didn't stop some ape from absolutely piledriving my lower back on his way to it. My spine turned into pure fire, then into dust as i crumbled to the floor. i've never gone very close to another pit, because wow that loving hurt. a few years ago i took my wife and kid to cannibal corpse and i assured them they'd be fine if they just stayed near the back. we entered the venue as the opener ended (suffocation maybe?) and people were coming off the floor into the lobby. there were a few dudes coming out with bloody noses which was awkward.

One of my favourite pits was when I saw At The Gates around 2010-ish. It was one of those super intense, but really well behaved pits. Everybody was getting slammed, but the moment somebody hit the deck, there was a ring around them to make sure they were away. It was rough, but no fists, elbows knees or dickheadery. But there was also this short-rear end german guy with a blonde bowl cut and Steve Buscemi eyes. In the middle of the loving pit, he was rolling joints and passing them around. I don't know how the gently caress he managed it 'cos he was getting knocked around like the rest of us, but despite that, he never dropped anything, never got lovely with people or anything. Just happily stood there, getting kinda thrown around while rolling joints and passing them around with a big grin on his face. Not entire sure what was in those joints. They made you happy but you low-key saw some poo poo too. You weren't tripping balls or anything but I doubt it was just weed. ...er...from...what my mate said.

Entire venue was a pit for Power Trip on their tour with cannibal corpse. It was the exact ideal of a metal show. Then cannibal came on and it happened again. It was fuckin mental. I got covered in blood at a Watain show and turned to face the pit and most everyone backed away from me which was humorous.

I almost got crowd crushed during a Children of Bodom show when me and my friend got their early to be at the very front of the stage. I guess it would have been cool to die during an Alexi Laiho solo though.

Matt from Cryptopsy split the crowd for a wall of death during the piano intro to Phobophile, but our club is not very big so we were only able to get maybe 5 feet of distance between us. When the song started we all had enough room to take one or two strides and just smashed into eachother with enough space (light turnout, sad!) to pass by into the people behind them too who probably weren't expecting to actually collide with someone coming the other direction. More than a few people got their bells rung in that one and I got my ankle stopped something bad.

Both Hatebreed and Slayer when they toured together had insane pits at Harpo's in Detroit. I remember Hatebreed about to go on stage, and an intro playing and people just stuffing themselves on the main floor as tight as possible. I remember my friend and I giving each other a look and then they started playing and it was absolutely insane. The entire floor was going nuts. Then Slayer came on and the exact same thing happened. I sprained a thumb and ankle.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the time I saw Motorhead Punks and Metalheads and low-key declared a friendly war on each other about whether or not they were a Punk band or a Metal band (when of course, they're a loving rock and roll band). Jumped straight into a pit about 2\3rds near the back. When I was tired and crowd-surfed out, I looked around and...the entire loving floor was just a group of circle pits everywhere. It was one of those shows where if you were on the floor? Pull yer boots up. You're in for a long haul.
