For anyone who might have complained about the battle/field speed in Trails in the Sky games but did not want to deal with cheat engine, they are rolling out beta DX9 patches for at least one of the games (the 3rd) that introduces a configurable turbo mode button. I imagine it's only a matter of time before it gets tested in FC and SC as well.

i've got an honest question for those who know anything about darkbasic programming: i really, really like brigand: oaxaca. despite its rough edges, it's an really endearing first person crpg with a lot going for it. sadly, i'm a bit peeved that it only supports 1028 by 768 or 1280 by 1024 out of the box. is it theoretically possibly to implement support for 16:9 resolutions in darkbasic, or do i have to stomach 4:3 and roll with the punches?
