Yes.
Cederick Forsberg's old project Breitenhold is also pretty ace old BG worship, with the caveat that he's... not a great singer. But like otherwise the likeness is pretty spot on.

Also this is the greatest BG worship song ever. First time I heard it I was convinced for about 4 minutes that it was Hansi Kursch on vocals.

As someone who would easily rank power metal near the bottom of all metal genres, Blind Guardian still kick massive rear end.

There is a sizable power gap between BG and the rest of power metal bands, yeah. As I love them, sometimes I've tried other known power metal bands that in theory were similar and yeah... not very good, in general (unless we count bands like Nightwish or Iced Earth as Power metal bands).

I can't even remember if the masonic temple has any flat floors at all up front. Don't think I'd go see that show unless I could get GA floor.

I generally like shows small enough that I can be up close to the band, but once the place is over a few hundred people I guess I’m fine with a seat.

Have any bands played in those movie theaters with giant recliners? I’d be down for that sometime.

it does but it is small and expensive. "general admission" is mostly seats. my friend made that mistake a few years ago when he got us flogging molly tickets, and we could not even bribe our way onto the floor

Was that the Gramercy? I saw them there and those seats are actually ok. When I go to shows with my one-legged friend we’ll sit whenever possible. Sometimes he’ll be able to get me into the ADA section as a +1 and that can be like first class treatment depending on the place.

Columbus Theatre in Providence, RI. It was part of their annual H.P. Lovecraft themed festival, Necronomicon. Jarboe opened. Cool vibe.
