Cederick Forsberg's old project Breitenhold is also pretty ace old BG worship, with the caveat that he's... not a great singer. But like otherwise the likeness is pretty spot on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wrEkQbOouM

Also this is the greatest BG worship song ever. First time I heard it I was convinced for about 4 minutes that it was Hansi Kursch on vocals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_Yh2n8ZoHM

Henchman of Santa posted:As someone who would easily rank power metal near the bottom of all metal genres, Blind Guardian still kick massive rear end. There is a sizable power gap between BG and the rest of power metal bands, yeah. As I love them, sometimes I've tried other known power metal bands that in theory were similar and yeah... not very good, in general (unless we count bands like Nightwish or Iced Earth as Power metal bands).

I can't even remember if the masonic temple has any flat floors at all up front. Don't think I'd go see that show unless I could get GA floor.

I generally like shows small enough that I can be up close to the band, but once the place is over a few hundred people I guess I’m fine with a seat. Have any bands played in those movie theaters with giant recliners? I’d be down for that sometime.
