If you haven't, also check out their previous one, Burn the Night. It's just about equally sick.

I have, and I agree. Although this one by virtue of being new is hitting so much harder since I wore out the first album to rags.

Also have to give a good listen to the new Skelator and Dark Forest EPs. So much to catch up on since the new Sumerlands and Phantom Spell albums have had a monopoly on my ears since they dropped.

Let's do another driving music recs! Or commuting, whatever. I've been listening to Splattered Entrails and Theriomorphic. I think a lot of my driving music is pretty well categorized by having riffs and it rips.

Agreed. Also one of the best percussion performances in metal. Departing from from the funeral side of funeral doom changed their sound a lot. The Giant has a couple good tracks though.

In flames has always been great live. Like plenty of bands they had their peak and have kinda wandered since, but normally every albums has at least 1-2 decent songs.as a result the live show remains mostly good as hell.

One of my absolute favorite shows ever was in like 2003 and I saw Slayer, Soulfly, and In Flames at the Phoenix Plaze in Pontiac. It loving ruled and In Flames was definitely the best part

yup, slave agent is great, too. the dude has some serious songwriting chops.

autonoesis feels like its a lot more than just him. they really caught lightning in a bottle with whatever mix of guys they got together. not often you get an album so ambitious AND consistently amazing.

Soooooo the stuff I'm listening to is sounding a bit stale. I want something a bit new\different\weird to check out.

Never been a massive fan of death metal, but I dig growls. Just prefer 'em more on Thrashy riffs rather than blastbeats.Case in point: Skeletonwitch

Love some proggy stuff, but I'm very over the Dream Theater style or the Polyphia style gymnastics sorta prog. Also the Opeth "fade-out-into-long-acoustic-section-in-an-echo-chamber" bit is very overdone. Something Tool-ish would get my attention

I flirt with Power Metal but I had a bit of a Sabaton binge recently so I think that itch has been scratched.

Thrash tends to be my go-to, but more the Exodusy thrash rather than the Kreator thrash.

Show me weird riffs.

Riot City Facebook page posted:

Today is the OFFICIAL release date for "Electric Elite", even though its been out for a week or so now across all platforms! So to celebrate the release we are going to shout out some other bands who actually released their album today!

Label mates:
Konquest - “Time and Tyranny”

Doomstar Bookings roster mates:
Ripped to Shreds - 劇變 (Jubian) - Relapse Records

Other soon to be mates:
Chevalier - FIN - “Ancient Metal Attack” - Cruz Del Sur Music
