Wizard was better than Ghost, but only because it didn't drop the ball entirely with the secondary Rider. Kamen Rider Beast was real, and strong, and my friend. Ghost seemed like it was going to become good on like 3 separate occasions and squandered it every time. Wizard was at least consistent

Beast was a wonderful guy from start to finish and even if he got his rear end kicked more often than not by the end of the show, he still got to have some kind of closure with Chimera and a big hero moment. I don't know what the gently caress that Second Specter storyline was and Necrom didn't even get a drat upgrade form. >:| Wizard may have been a bit boring, but I still enjoyed watching it for better or worse, whereas Ghost actively frustrated me with how lovely it was throughout the whole Ganmeiser arc. They really should have stuck to the heroes, the Ryoma Sakamoto arc in particular was probably my two favorite episodes because of how great Sakamoto was and how well the actor was able to sell the possession. EDIT: Note when I say I don't know what the Specter story was, I meant it didn't make sense and it was written badly. Having made the mistake of watching the lovely Specter movie, I do know what it was, even if I wish I didn't.

What makes me maddest about Wizard is how it would occasionally gesture in the direction of an interesting question (usually "what if Haruto isn't as stunningly brilliant and sexy as he makes out") and then hand Wizard a victory anyway by literal magic while yelling about how HE IS HOPE. It's not that nothing happened in Wizard, though it didn't. It's that stuff kept almost happening in Wizard. And also that all the nothing made me wish I was watching a show about best Kamen Rider Magical Girl Beast-chan.

Yeah, Wizard was frustrating in that there would be the odd episode where they actually put effort into Haruto's character writing, Rinko would actually do something meaningful, etc., only to go right back to most everyone being dull and dumb and do-nothing. They totally had the pieces to make a good show, but decided to just coast and do a completely perfunctory-at-best job for most of it. The opening of Ultimatum is loving crazy in comparison since it's like a mirror dimension version of Wizard where the cast is cool and does poo poo.

The Build suit is so good and makes me really hype for seeing it in action. The Densha Otoko writer dude gives me lots of hope too. It has huge shoes to fill after Ex-Aid though. It's been seriously great lately!

The suits all looked great too, I just feel like they decide everyone once in a while to phone it all in and not make any effort to making a decent show so they just pump out this season nobody is invested in and call it a day so they can go out early and spend less money. As far as Kyuranger is concerned, I'm still not wild about Tsurugi at the moment (he seems a tad overpowered, even by sixth ranger standards) but I like that we now basically have two complete Sentai teams, each with their own Red and Blue ranger.
