gently caress caves. i hate them

I was kinda into the idea of camping in caves until I heard a series of stories like (and including) this one and I completely soured on the idea.

Last summer, my buddy's bachelor party was an overnight in Cumberland Caverns and it was actually pretty fun! There were some tight squeezes and long muddy crawls on the excursions we took, but my fat rear end was able to wriggle through. I think the chief thing is that cave exploring is fundamentally different from touring a show cave.

The problem with lift companies is that the construction element is pretty good but every maintenance, after sales or admin person I've dealt with at them was terrible and the name "Schindler" will provoke a reaction in my mind far faster than I'll think to say "oh cool, construction or maintenance?".

Hrm, all the reviews I've seen for Schindler's lift have been pretty favorable.

I used to play in caves and lava tubes when we went to the country when I was a kid. I was in a lava tube a few years ago and was amazed that I never killed myself falling from/getting crushed by rocks.

Good Lord, Ted the Caver is still up. Who is paying the bills at angelfire.com, these days?

It's still one of the best of its genre, despite getting a bit too obvious at the end.

gently caress CNA forever. They make lovely bargaining agreements that don’t serve their members and stir up trouble just to be annoying shits.

The reason the rn’s aren’t allowed to wear just any n95 is because they are not wearing them when performing patient care. The shortfall in supply at the moment means the masks aren’t available when you really need them because some goober is just wearing it walking around.

But also gently caress Kaiser their profit seeking bs only serves to undermine everything in this current crisis.

I still argue that the last part of the book was necessary to complete the story of humanity coming back together after being forcibly separated by disaster.

the last part of the book would have been perfect as its own neal stephenson novel that you only realize is a sequel to seveneves when you finish it

Just had an hour long nap in a work truck, waiting for some tire work to get done. Woke up groggy with a migraine, vomitted on the way home, spent the next ten hours between bed and vomitting. Think that truck might have an exhaust leak.
