Usually it takes longer than 24 hours, though. If you're referring to my goalposts they haven't shifted an inch. Labour is going to lose this election badly. What recent events have done is make it harder to explain why.

There was a fellow on from Labour in Northern Ireland this afternoon on BBC NI radio robustly defending Corbyns comments and laying into people trying to make political mileage out of the past, but even he paused to comment that as a socialist he thinks the Labour left made a fundamental mistake in the 70s and 80s and drastically misinterpreted Irish republicanism and bear a degree of responsibility for the hardening of sectarian headcount politics by undermining cross community solidarity socialism. That's pretty much where I stand too tbh

I explained that they had room to recover for the listed reasons. You called it wishful thinking. Exactly what I described has happened. You said Corbyn had hosed Labour beyond belief. This is obviously not true given the 9-10% recovery in the polls. The fact that Theresa May being the new Brexit cheerleader brought a lot of leave voters in to the Tories is no great loving mystery. But hopefully the Wales poll today is an indication that even leave voting areas aren't unwin-backable when people start paying attention to the real choice they have on offer. loving hell you're incapable of admitting you were wrong.

There's still just under three weeks to go and Theresa May is loving up everything and Corbyn is doing great. If Corbyn comes close to beating May then the last two years of backstabbing and undermining by the PLP will have been the biggest wasted opportunity by Labour since 1997.

The fact that Labour has risen quite significantly in the polls ever since people started seeing a lot more of Corbyn and got a manifesto written entirely by his team should tell anyone with a brain that maybe he wasn't the reason for the dire poll ratings before the election.
