Dann sollen sie die Körperschaftsteuer und die EInkommenssteuer anheben. Das trifft die Reichen am Ende genauso stark aber sorgt anders als eine Anhebung der Abgeltungssteuer nicht dafür, dass die Altersvorsorge der Normalverdiener noch mehr aufs Maul kriegt als sie jetzt schon tut. Eine Erbschaftsteuer wo es in der Praxis auch mal nicht steuerbefreite Sachen und somit Aufkommen gebe wäre auch ganz nett.

There are better ways to solve those issues though. The Abgeltungssteuer is a flat tax right now (that hits Sparbücher as much as anything else), and those are regressive as hell. Simply raising them isn't going to help anything. Either introduce progressive tax brackets to the Abgeltungssteuer or get a real Vermögenssteuer, or an Erbschaftssteuer, or any of the myriad other ways of making sure the rich contribute a fair share without hitting everyone else.

Deshalb liegt die Körperschaftsteuer auch unter dem Spitzensatz der Einkommensteuer, weil auf den Gewinn nach Körperschaftsteuer nochmal die Kapitalertragsteuer kommt, bevor das Geld in der Tasche eines Menschen landet.)

Vielleicht sollte man aufhören die gesetzliche umlagefinanzierte Rente zu kastrieren und schlecht zu reden und stattdessen die Riester"reformen" rückgängig machen. I actually have a Riester, two Bausparer, a private Lebensversicherung and a bunch of extra money I put to work on the side. That doesn't mean I know Geldmarktabkürzungen off the top of my head. I am also well aware (and my Bankberaterin agrees) that Riester is bullshit for people who it's actually intended for (the general populace) and only really useful for people who are already well of. Well, I, uh, kinda am so I'm gonna keep my Riester...

Given that we should always uphold the the monopoly on violence by state I'm not sure that we should legitimize (to a degree) the poisoning of anyone, especially since the woman has the chance to simply leave her husband. If necessary the state should improve his efforts to protect the victimized woman, not reduce the punishment she maliciously murders another human. I have no qualms with rewriting the "niedrige Beweggründe" part to explicitly include racists, but would that actually change anything? As far as I understand it "niedere Beweggründe" already includes racist motives. All in all this looks like an extremely political maneuver, meant to improve Heiko's image especially towards women and activists on the left and in my opinion you shouldn't score political points by reducing the punishment for murdering other human beings.

Yes, I'm sure there are many people out there who are currently only held back from murdering someone by the fact that they'd have to go to prison for 15+ years. Lowering the punishment isn't legitimizing a crime you idiot. It's bringing the punishment more in line with the severity of the crime. Someone driven to murder by their desperate circumstances shouldn't be punished the same as someone who butchers a child because it turns them on.
