I'm new to this game and I've been finding it strangely fun to play.

Im guessing most of the card pulls only come from leveling up your cards each time?

Some teeth long for ripping, gleaming wet from black dog gums. So you keep your eyes closed at the end. You don't want to see such a mouth up close. before the bite, before its oblivion in the goring of your soft parts, the speckled lips will curl back in a whinny of excitement. You just know it.
Me, in a game just now: "So my opponent has locked down one location and I'm not contesting it, but it's the last turn and no matter what he plays he can only win one more location, so... aha! I win!" *snaps*

Did you guys know that two is more than one, because apparently I just learned.

Nope! All of the card pulls come that way. You only progress through levelling up your cosmetics, and progression is how you get new cards.

(With the slight exception that if you get a variant through the season pass, you can run that regardless of if you have the base card or not, so you can technically get Carnage and Spider-Woman ahead of schedule right now.)

Had a game with “Destroy the losing side after Turn 4” on the left location. The right location was “swap locations after Turn 4.”

That worked out very well for me when Hala moved to the middle location and THEN wrecked some of their cards like Mr Incredible. I doubt it comes up often, but I’m very curious how often the mechanics work that in that same order and what the tie breaker was.

my new favorite move is dropping Professor X on Space Throne on turn 5. Everyone always waits until the last turn to either put something in or move it over with a move deck

Wonder how that will be handled for future season passes and the like. Plenty of popular characters in Pool 3, but it might be a bit iffy if only some Pool 1 players have Hell Cow or Moon Knight for their discard deck, for example.

Maybe not quite the end of the world I suppose, and worst case they could do a "needs collection level whatever" as a requirement?

You cannot get random variants that you do not already have from the season passes only the featured variants, which means everyone in the same pools will still have access to the same cards. I had spider woman and Carnage in pool 1, but everyone else in pool 1 at the time could have unlocked them the same as me.

It's the fixed ones I'm referring to. Spider-Woman and Carnage are both in pool 1, but you'd think that they'd want to do characters from other pools for future events

Finally wriggled up to pool 3 and I get destroyer as my first card.

# (1) Sunspot
# (1) Nova
# (2) Bucky Barnes
# (2) Carnage
# (2) Armor
# (2) Colossus
# (2) Wolverine
# (3) Cosmo
# (3) Killmonger
# (3) Deathlok
# (4) Warpath
# (6) Destroyer

Basically play for two positions with the regular pool one and two destroy package. Armor and Cosmo nullify most of destroyer's downside, and sunspot + armor makes for great bait. It doesn't work all the time, but when it does it's hilarious.

Well I bought the season pass on Android, the game said there was an error, but the charge went through on my credit card and I have a receipt from the Google Play store. But the pass is still locked ingame. The support is just a bot that doesn't say anything useful. I guess I'll just hope that their "support team" responds at some point :sigh:

EDIT: Nevermind, uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixed it

I ping pong between 32 and 33 it seems, get rocked and drop down, then back up.

Is there any benefit to extra cubes other than the ranking bonuses every 10 levels?

You get to be smug towards those with a smaller number. Lol 33? Absolutely pathetic. What's your excuse for not sinking 90+ hours into the game?

Lol! It doesn’t seem to translate into more boosters or anything, I guess wins can help you get challenges.

Some of the rewards at the 10 level breakpoints are pretty solid chunks of gold or credits, it's a big boost!

edit: and boosters aren't really your bottleneck, you'll be swimming in them. Credits will be the thing in short supply

I can confirm that the nighttime pool absolutely is easier. I think more dedicated people play during the day.

I like how the fast nature of the games mean I don't have to feel guilty about bailing instantly when things are just not going to work out - First location, replace my deck with ten random cards when I don't have my star players in hand, draw a mister negative. Next location: Shuffle five rocks in the deck. No thanks, maybe next time.

Yeah I need credits, but after games you get the boosters but it doesn’t seem to matter if it’s a win or loss. Guess I should cash in some of the gold bars!

Started playing this recently, am floating around rank 85 with pool one. The player pool is thin up here, I frequently will play the same person several times per play session.

You get 1 booster per round played, given to (I think) a random card that started the game in your deck.

I'm also in this zone and yeah, going many rounds with the same person is annoying.
Also a lot of people with the Infinite card back and nothing to lose who go hard on Snaps

It favours grey and green cards, but otherwise yes. You don't have to have played the card for it to get boosters either. The only exception is that if Agatha Harkness is in your starting deck, she will always take the boosters - and give you a message about how she deserves them, because it's not like you're the one playing the game.

How do you know if your deck should try to play for two positions, or spread?

In the end, you always only need to play for 2 positions.
But the sooner your opponent knows which one, the easier it is for them to compete.
That's why cards like lizard are great : low commitment for you, and if your opponent dumps a ton a cards there you can always forfeit the place.

Did you by chance also have the location where you draw cards from the opponents deck? If you have both, playing cards there will put cards in "your" deck, but your opponent will draw them, and I've seen the visual seem to account for that.

No, that wasn't around. The visual had the cards going into the wrong deck too, like I'd play a card and it'd be like I've played Korg

No, it just does that for some reason. I think that at some point during testing your deck was at the top of the screen and your opponent's was at the bottom, and they never fixed the graphics when they reversed it.

Ah so it works correctly, the visual is just bonked, good to know.

Actually, something that would be useful would be to have the amounts of cards visible rather than needing to click. How many cards the opponent has in hand and in deck I mean
