Slowing down my footage by 50% took me 8 hours. Granted, most professional companies would have done extensive footage tests.

As far as I was concerned, the only cool things from Star Wars was, 1) Lightsabers, and, 2) The N64 podracing game. On friday, I was pissed off cause that should of been the Star Wars I grew up with. Not the 'I hate Sand' bullshit going on.

I watched this on Friday with my 10 year old before we headed to see episode 7. RotJ was never my favorite Star Wars and 30 years hasn't helped it any. But that scene - especially when they burst from the claustrophobic Death Star into open space with the Rebel fleet off to the distance. That was the highlight of the film to me. I can't even imagine how complex that must have been to pull off before everything was CGI.
