I'll be perfectly honest that I think that it's kind of weak sauce that there are these pet type items for armies that have Headstrong or Elite baked into their units, and they seem incredibly good on paper, but with Kingdoms of Men I'm doomed to +3" on Inspiring and no pets. It's a demihuman conspiracy, I tells ya!

My local guy figures about $30CDN for an MDF set and $45CDN for an Acrylic set of those tokens. Not too bad consider the amount of laser time for all the raster engraving.

Warpath stuff has been lookin' good, and this khaki/red paint scheme is so much better than the awful brown-green babyshit scheme they used for the Forge Fathers during the Kickstarter. vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv It's, uh... not mine. Just to check, but Mantic's sci fi range is A: Currently all restic, B: Not for sale, and C: Will be coming back for sale in plastic in a few months?

spectralent posted:Just to check, but Mantic's sci fi range is A: Currently all restic, B: Not for sale, and C: Will be coming back for sale in plastic in a few months? True, with the exception of Enforcers, Enforcer Peacekeepers, and Forge Guard, which are already in hard plastic, and a few rare resin pieces. Also, some existing things will remain in restic, such as walkers and gun tracks, metal, such as a few heroes and some conversion kits, and a number of new low run types of vehicles, characters, and monsters will be produced in the same material as Warth of Kings minis, such as the Veermyn nightmares, and Plague Aberrations.

It's not as bad as Bonesium but it's still somewhat soft. It's good for bigger models since they can be thicker but human sized it tends to lose detail and warp a bit. Has anyone gotten their replacement pieces from Dungeon Saga? I finally got a response from about a month ago that I will be notified when it ships but nothing since.

I'd be less concerned about softness and more concerned about bonesium's aggressive dislike of paint.

This set of six Enforcers are the ones in hard plastic, you can tell because they come with the riot shield option (the riot shields and the medic are restic), the older restic pack is just 5 guys with a heavy weapon, and the specialists pack is restic as well. I can't really speak to the quality of the list, but there's rarely a reason to have leftover points. Grab a lovely 10 point magic item for one of the units. Maybe it will prove useful.

Mantic sent an email out on 15th January with a link to a webform you could fill out if you had any missing bits from Dungeon Saga. I filled out the form, got an automated response on 16th January and received my missing pieces (some cards and dungeon critters) in the post about two weeks later. I'm in Australia, too. If you haven't received your replacement pieces you should email dave@manticgames.com to follow up on it.

Atlas Hugged posted:Threw together a new 2000 point elf list. Thoughts? Swap the helm of confidence out for a Talisman of Inspiration on the Mage. The Mages Inspiring can then cover multiple units instead of just one. Bane chant AND lightning bolt is probably overkill on the Mage since you'll only be able to use one/turn. The Boomstick probably isn't the best thing to stick on the King - he should either be moving At The Double to get into melee ASAP so can't shoot, or will actually be in melee so can't shoot. I'd either give him a mount for the points to give him the speed boost, or use the points saved from one of the spells on the mage to give the Dragon +1 defence or Regeneration (though your opponents may hate you for that ). Xlorp posted:I got babby's first 1500 point Forces of Nature list here. Looking to just be full of flavor and not be stupid in avoidable ways. Is that speed on the Beast of Nature the +1 speed artefact? If so I'd think about swapping it onto the Hunters of the Wild. With Speed 7, they can charge enemy units up to 4" behind their deployment line in the first turn. Hunters of the Wild are more than capable of disrupting and shutting down shooting hordes so either your opponent keeps all their shooting units further back (giving you an advantage for scenario objectives) or deploys them close enough for you to shut them down before they get to shoot. Just the threat of a Speed 7 Vanguard unit can play merry havoc with your opponents deployment. I'd drop the Wild Companions from the Green Lady. You can only use one ranged attack per turn and her Heal(8) is so incredibly useful that I can't imagine a situation where I'd use one of the Wild Companions instead. (quick note that the points for Wild Guard go on the Hunters of the Wild, not the Green Lady). Equally drop the Wild Companion or the bow from the Centaur Chief. You want him in combat ASAP, so like Atlas Hugged's King, he'll most likely be moving at the double most turns. He certainly doesn't need both and I'd be more inclined to go with the bow over the Wild Companion myself. For the points saved dropping the Wild Companions, I think I'd personally go with the attacks & vicious upgrade on the Beast of Nature and the Quicksilver Rapier on the Centaur Chief, so he becomes an awesome character smacker. Your Bray-Striders and Beast of Nature can double team a key enemy unit, while the Bray Strider takes out the Inspiring cover/Surge/heal/spell source.

My intent with the King was to just have him chill and inspire, which is why I gave him the boomstick. I could swap him for a standard bearer, but I find them to be fairly useless if combat reaches their area of the board. At least with the king he can do double duty. I never considered a regenerating dragon. That sounds fun.

Metal missiles conversion bits for the new Enforcer sprues were part of either the DZI or Warpath KS, so I'd expect that to be the new one; could be the metal captain, but it's not hard plastic at any rate.

It was supposed to come out with the Troll Bruiser and the Wights, but all of the resin companies that they contract to said it would be too large for them to do. They've redone it, and they're getting quotes from resin casters as of Adepticon. Should be out next time there's a splash release.
