There's a scene in Jiro Dreams of Sushi where a guy is roasting eel on an wood fire indoors. That seems safe.

so here's the way to tell if your fish is fresh or not - cause a lot of these places will pass off old fish - if you eat it and don't vomit and have terrible diarrhea, it's fresh. otherwise it's not

Nuke it with some foil covering it to seal in the flavors. About five mins or so. :discourse:

Now I love Sushi. Publix sushi Is very good for its cheap price and nice option to just grab on the way home from work.

However

They and many other places put a big dab of wasabi inside the package with the sushi. Now wasabi is fine for the many people who like to harm themselves while eating. Its a cultural thing I get it and its great they provide a bit for those people for free.

But its often touching 3-4 pieces of my sushi so if I'm not paying attention and throw those out I hurt myself. That isn't the experience I paid for. They need to put it in different packaging.

My girlfriend has some intensely hosed up stomach issues and if she ever ate wasabi it would annihilate her insides. She gets takeout sushi all the time, with the wasabi in there, and has never whined about it.

Quit being a bitch boy.

when you get grocery store sushi if you must, hold onto it at the check out so the idiot cashier cant bag it vertically causing the sushi to slide to the bottom of the container and break apart and ginger and wasabi to get all over it. sorry if this has already been addressed

the apple-sushi-ball thing was a good idea to whoever suggested it. it would probably neutralize the wasabi flavors pretty well.

op i hope they switch the cucumber in your sushi with just sticks of wasabi paste. get hosed.

Im looking for a bento box, it cant be pinku (thats japanese for pink) or any girl color. It has to be of 2 or more kotoba (thats japanese for 2 compartments) and has be be chibi (small) sized. And has to be really kawaii (cute). Also It has to be about 10-20 bux. And you have to post pics of it first (i want to make shure it's kawaii (cute)). And it would be nice if it came with matching chopstick holder (WITH chopsticks). OH! and it CANNOT have any cartoon pictures, or be made out of plastic. It has to be made of ceramic, or something like that. Also it would be nice if it was made in japan. and not in china or corea (korea) or whatever. I have found a bento box similar to the one im describing in e-bay, but it was 1 kotoba, and i dont want my gohan (rice) to touch my other things (it can get wet and i would not like that, plus 2 compartments looks more kawaii)
