They're drunk, stuck in the past, convinced that whoever they have under center is never going to measure up to whoever is two teams over, and really not all that different from fans of any other team. They won some poo poo 30 years ago and have done nothing but poo poo on their balls ever since. The biggest ref gently caress up that still gets brought up is the Dez catch poo poo, which regardless of what you believe is irrelevant because everyone forgets that Dallas defense couldn't stop a peewee team that year. Hell, that same year the Cowboys got a beneficial call in the playoffs against the Lions and I don't think anyone around here pretends otherwise. Just kinda irritated that the narrative of that game is focused on one thing when it was a complete mess all around. But that does not matter! My team won, and my irritation with the losing team's tears actually makes me the biggest crybaby. Okay, whatever, hope Dallas wins tomorrow to really twist the knife I guess!

The take we've all been waiting for - I didn't watch that game and have no real rooting interest other than liking the Lions as a longtime underdog. The refs have a million things to worry about, saying it's their job to also remember your trick play isn't accurate. If it worked then great, but it didn't so oh well.
