That's fair. It really did seem like something good might happen a mere 12 months ago.

If nothing else, I'm glad Culp ate poo poo as expected. Considering the way 2020 has gone in general there was a tiny part of my brain that refused to accept it was a foregone conclusion.

Seconding joy that at least Culp ate poo poo. Also the psilocybin+decrim holy moses I had completely forgotten that was on the table. Way to go Oregon.

Huge relief to see Culp fail, out rural where I live there were hordes of Culp signs. Of course there would be, but still, just a relief.

The PNW has had vote-by-mail for longer, which means we've already turned out all the quiet cranks and created a turnout habit much higher than the country at-large. Source: We're already at 77.4% return rate with two weeks of mail ballots to come.

Really glad the sex ed bill passed and that it passed by lot - I expected that to be a lot closer. It also looks like my district will stay flipped to Schrier as well. I still think it's absurd that King County had to vote to fund Harborview though.

I wish for my local district (the 37th), Chukundi ran for the 1st position for rep as a challenger to Sharon Tomiko Santos, so we could have him and Kirsten Harris Talley repping us. Oh well, happy with the KHT win. The Oldest Man posted:I know this is a scary and tough time but I hope this will make you feel better.

He also barely had a job, as the only person in "his department" basically anything that required a real presence was done by the sheriffs anyway. When he says they "defunded the department and with it his job" what he really means is "I got fired and they're not replacing me."

Ideally we'd have ranked choice but of course we do not so it sure looks like the failure to merge Raiford and Iannarone support gave us 4 more years of rampant police brutality.

To be clear, I meant not conceding after the counting is done; never giving a concession speech and not even pretending to be gracious. People shouldn't concede if there is still a chance they win.
