The great thing is the research is mostly useless. For Mengele, there's an argument that one of his experiments may have gathered hypothetically useful niche information on hypothermia. It was a completely accidental byproduct of an attempt to prove race theory on the grounds of its prediction that Russians endure extremely low temperatures notably better than members of other "races."
