The baby shoes I ordered for Ralph Jr where good, although he's already outgrown the 3-6 month sized ones even though he's just barely 12 weeks. He's pretty big for his age so I can't blame it on the Chinese sizing entirely though. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/sim....7c324c4ddrwX3M I got the fox ones, but don't worry they got raccoons too (all baby stuff is either foxes or raccoon). I also got a bunch of wall stickers to gussy up his room and make it look less like the home office it used to be. They are basically matte contact paper that's adhesive. The printing quality ranges, but this one, the world map, was real good and super cute. They don't stick to textured wall well, however, which is what our house has, so I put them on the doors to all the Ikea cabinets and poo poo. The map just barely fit on the door to his bedroom. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/new....27424c4dWJ3Cvg Regarding the lead chat from last time I posted I got all paranoid about teethers so I did research. I got him some that were made in Germany but while shopping for them I realized that in the Netherlands at least they don't have to put the country of origin on the product - just the importer (always a Dutch company). Hema, a big retailer here, sells teethers for around one or two euros that I'd bet a million bucks are made in China. This thread has made me extremely aware of country of origin, esp for stuff that's going in his mouth, so I guess thanks AliExpress thread for keeping Chinese plastic outta my boy's bloodstream. Oh, also my mom sent me some of my baby stuff and one of them was a rubber elephant that I had just gnawed all the paint off of, which my mom informs me was my favorite thing to chew on when I was teething. Made in China proudly stamped on the bottom. Goon origin story right there.

My Despite being a bit squashed, I'm actually impressed by how well made it is. I wouldn't pay the usual $50 for it over Ali, but for the sale price of $24 it's a steal. It smells of dubious chinese manufacturing chemicals, so I suppose I'll hang him outside overnight so I don't gas myself to death. Link

I bought a LeMax 2 smartphone in the summer of 2017, and used it until I got a new phone this fall. Since I had a new phone, I decided to install LineageOS on the LeMax. To do this, I had to put the phone in developer mode and unlock the bootloader. As I tried to do it, I discovered that it was already done. gently caress knows what was on that phone, but I'm guessing my dickpics are backed up somewhere in China now.

Most androids from China are just never locked down by the person slapping together the lovely rom they load. It's not likely to be something sinister.

There is a real problem with out-of-country software devs offsetting the nearly nothing you're paying them by sneaking whatever some gangster asks them to into the product. Not exclusive to poo poo on Ali, I worked for a while for an American company who'd take contracts from an ISP and hand them off to some random loving guy somewhere in Asia to assemble a team and do all the actual work for, and even the poo poo they'd showcase to impress new clients tried to download a bunch of crap that made antivirus software freak out. Probably most stuff is fine, but it's a lot more systematic than the exploding Chinese Fitbit.

$365.00 and I have no idea what it could be. It's like an alien artifact from the ruins of Cydonia. Am I dumb (yes)? Is it a stove that fires stubby little bullets? Is it a mini hydraulic bearing press? Small pastry? Can I put it in my butt? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Pun...2875303874.html
