Linedance posted:Sweet, but wow if any bike was ever crying out for a tail tidy it's that one! Literally on my birthday list (along with just about everything else R&G make for the bike). Marv Hushman posted:Whither Le Shiver? Part-exchange. Feels weird, it's only the third bike I've ever voluntarily given up (theft and mechanical decrepitude taking the others), and it was still running well - even more so since I spent the money to fix a couple of persistent little niggles prior to selling. I had a lot of fun with that bike and it never let me down when I really needed it, and I had it longer than any other bike, so I have to go down and stare at my new bike for a few minutes every once in a while to remind me why I got rid of it.

Or just get a good job, don't have (or delay) kids, and have the world's best midlife crisis in your mid 20s.

Just bought a 1995 DR350SE unseen, took the early train and rode back home 500 km. That's not even a third of an iron Iron Butt, but it sure feels like a whole one. Noisy as hell with an Arrow exhaust. Gonna put the stock one back on I think. I was feeling really great until I got home and parked it in our communal garage. A neighbor told me some guy on a stolen motorcycle had been lookout for a second guy sneaking around the garage just yesterday. If so they did not see my FZ6, but if they are back any time soon they will find both my bikes. An hour ago it was all braaaap, now I feel like poo poo.

Thanks y'all. It's a pretty fun bike - a little spongy in the corners but overall it's great to rip around town. The variety of little bikes available today compared to when I started riding is amazing. So many cool options.

00' zrx1100. Lots of milage lots of wear. Cheap and fun. Did the oil, pads, washed it. Needs work...but I am just so happy to have a bike again. Almost two years with nothing with two wheels. Will post more when things are fixed. Thanks for the advise CA.

Nothing special, but its a newish purchase. I'm so happy to be back on a bike again, and I'm loving riding through all these Nevada Mountains. I also like how my bike looks without the back rest and the saddlebags better- but both are much too practical for me to remove.

The general state and originality of it supports this, though the indicators are questionable at best. I've already drained the tank, no rust that I could see but the petcock is hosed. I intend to take apart the engine to make sure everything in there is kosher, and I may as well strip and paint the frame while I'm there. If anyone is interested I'll start a project thread.

ATM it's leg-powered because it won't start (not that I've made any serious attempts considering the petrol in the tank is six years old) and the clutch plates are seized. Gives me a hobby that isn't horribly expensive though. Watch this space for a thread.
