Small sample size, I'll admit, but it doesn't help that it takes 30 minutes to corrall a group that ultimately can't clear. EDIT: I'll be on tonight to give it another try

With any group you sort of roll the dice. Susano is a really really tight fight. And my biggest problem with it have been healers not pulling their weight oddly enough. And at this point I've seen more tanks loving up and no popping cooldowns/swapping than DPS loving up levinbolts.

As I've said before, Aquapolis is legitimately my favorite content ever added to the game. On Tuesday when everyone is freaking out about Omega Savage, I'm going to be chain running Lost Canals. One benefit of running Aquapolis 1.0 right now is that the prices of stuff in there has actually gone up since no one is producing a lot of HW crafting materials anymore. Plus, I expect tree prices to dramatically spike in 4.1 with Shirogane. And Wool Tops are back to 1m in price.

I once saw a Susano EX group with a hypercompetent healer who told us not to give a poo poo about the lightning markers and would consistently throw out 10k+ heals so we could just keep wailing on the boss. Granted, this is still inferior to tanking the boss up at the edge of the sinking line so people who have to hop over can still attack, but the fight really isn't as hard to heal as people think if bullshit like the above is possible. The only reason I die tanking the fight at this point (in full Slaying right-sides, I might add) is because the Healer is either raising some dumbfuck or just outright forgets.

I'm on Excalibur as Ross Perot and I would be willing to heal some Susano clears if you send me a tell, I'm usually on late at night central time. I did wipe a Susano yesterday when we started the fight and then I found out half my hotbars were missing, and a couple weeks ago I accidentally hit the rescue button on the tank just before a Stormsplitter, but I'm otherwise pretty consistent with not wiping anyone's parties.

Yeah I'm magic so what (fixed it) I've never seen a healer that good. susano does feel like a super heal intensive fight, and good healers make an enormous impact on whether you get a clear or not. I usually take rez duty because rdm lol and it helps a lot I think, I only lose a GCD and they can keep up their group heals. Also a good tip is to tank the boss close to the center of the arena as well as close to the line. His knockbacks won't move you as far since you will hit the wall, and it lets you move north which is handy sometimes for melee. Jinh fucked around with this message at 20:15 on Jul 14, 2017 |

It is very possible to heal through the lightning but it puts more strain on your healers for other mistakes and there's very little good reason not to just do the mechanic.

My DGKK Susan aka partydad clear story: Joined a group because people BEGGED me (gotta have a taste of that Baph, it's understandable ), it was my newbie run with at least one other person, didn't discord/mumble with anyone, and watched Mizteq's clear video about 1 minute for we ran it. Was supremely nervous, I honestly feel like if we wipe on stuff like this, I'm dragging people down. That made my anxiety 10x worse. Despite my two deaths, we cleared it on the first try, and it honestly felt like it was handled really good for like 95% of the fight. People stacked, people scattered, moved lightning drops, etc. That is my DGKK story

Only stormsplitter is a cleave, so you don't really have to worry about anything, except for certain cloud spawns that can make it awkward.
