EDIT - ^^^^^ It's an advantage - low level calf training at all times.

Someone in last months thread blamed Scottish people for the poor uptake in wind power despite ideal conditions. There's truth to that. But as someone who actually lives in the Highlands & can see a couple of different wind farms on a good day, a lot of isn't actually locals, it's loving hikers & hill walkers & people who like to shoot grouse. Not even NIMBYs. Same people who moaned about ugly power cables running through our pristine countryside, the people who live in the countryside are generally just glad they have power.

And somewhat tempted with the 'oh Jeremy Corbyn' thing (missus is even more a Corbynista than I am). Probably not worth the parental drama though. Gonna be an unusual wedding at least- we're in Warwick Castle, and I have a scheduled list of duels and an organised melee to get through before I'm allowed dinner.

M Shed has a cool skeleton exhibit at the moment, if you're into seeing a lot of people who died of rickets and syphilis.

If they painted them any sort of version of green it would be miles better. White almost seems like the worst colour possible.

Jeremy Corbyn chants at a wedding ceremony are a bad idea, you're needlessly running the risk of your socialist fervour peaking early. Leave them for the consummation.

London rent is an obscene amount of money at the best of times and here it's being taken from people who have been burned out of their homes and have lost everything. You have to be pretty loving comfortable to assume everyone has the resources to just take this in stride and sort it out after the fact. At best this will be terrifyingly stressful for people already having the worst experience of their lives. Show some loving empathy, drat.

For the record, we've seen how desperate the Tories are and that they'll do anything to cling on to power, an early election is far from a foregone conclusion. With the DUP, they have a majority - and the back benchers fervently believe that Corbyn is the worst thing that could possibly happen to the UK, so they're not going to rebel. If anyone calls for an election they're going to insist that the only responsible thing is for them to guide the UK through Brexit, and people will believe them. They've also got this last election to point at as an example of why calling early elections at crucial times is a terrible idea, and the press remains sufficiently pro-Tory not to call them on it being a tacit admission of incompetence. "Hope is a lie" was always a counterproductive and counterrevolutionary mantra, but don't get your hopes up. Just keep fighting.
