I change my name and avatar every once in a while so I guess I don't have a posting brand. But I can never decide if it's just perception or if I even post differently with a smiling person vs. scowling or other kind of angry faced avatar.

They do, and it's distracting when I read serious posts in other boards and they have anime avatars. If you want to be taken seriously you should get a serious-looking avatar, like a serious man in a suit. It's not possible to believe you know what you're taking about if you identify with weirdly sexualized Japanese schoolgirls.

I have this strange fixation of making mental sounds for avatars that are animated. For instance, FluffieDuckie's AV character constantly says "yes" or something similar in my head, over and over. It's very distracting.
