I always forget that this sketch and a few others featured a young Nicole DeBoer before she went on to play Dax in DS9.

She's also in Brain Candy where she was at the peak of her hot 90s alt girl energy.

Extremely quotable. Bruce's story attempt goes off the rails and Scott plays the 'dumb boy in overalls' really well.

Girl Drink Drunk is really good but a problem I have with KITH and WKUK is that a bunch of their sketches remind me of webcomics that people edit by removing two thirds of their panels to get a snappier joke

I got it after the 2nd minute there doesn't have to be 5 more

in his most recent (I think) standup, Scott laments not loving Ian McKellen bc he propositioned Scott at a time where he considered him too old (like 54).

and also laments the dudes who think similarly about him.

It's the best sketch ever. My Dad used to laugh himself hoarse and red in the face watching it, he'd say "all servers used to dress like that in the early 90s." That and how quietly and softly everyone is speaking to each other in the kitchen, it's just such a weird picture of the service industry. I passed it on to every FOH/BOH friend I made working in restaurants and more than a few of them are still on perfect-quoting terms with me despite not having seen each other in years.

The line that always does me is "why don't we all come in early before our shifts tomorrow to discuss it."

I liked the surrealist 'Friends of Mark' sketch a lot. Yes to whoever upthread said that it's neat seeing what they can do with a robust budget for modern cinematography.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture is a boring movie
The only thing I haven’t really liked are the Friends of the Kids In The Hall gags. I get it was a covid thing but they aren’t that funny and don’t really jive with the show. The only one I thought was funny is Catherine O’Hara saying she was microdosing.

Dave Foley played Al Bean (one of my astronaut heroes) in "From the Earth to the Moon", so that buys him a lot of leeway. Kinda like the way Brendan Fraser doing "Gods and Monsters" lets him get away with doing "Encino Man".

In a world oversaturated with reboots and sequels, I was initially bracing myself for a whole lot of meh. But instead, I am delightfully surprised by just how much I am loving this.

The post-apocalyptic DJ is right up there with Each Day We Work for unsettlingly haunting sketches.

Always remember that the former President was dumber than the dumbest person you've ever met by a wide margin

New season is great. The post-apocalyptic DJ is an all-time great skit for them, but I also really liked Super Drunk, getting stuck in a Kevin McDonald sketch, and the clown shoes bit.

Friends of Kids in the Hall was the weakest part, but I did like Mark Hamill's quite a bit and appreciate that they all boiled down to "here are some weird losers who like our show!" rather than some kind of self-congratulatory stuff.
