I have some hopes for this, but it seems like Zack and Miri Make A Porno already sort of told this story. Now, when are we getting another American Pie movie? I have a suggestion: American PTA: All the main characters are now parents to K-12 kids. American PS5: All the main characters are now owners of a next-gen gaming system. The American Pie: Gritty reboot that is played super seriously.

I thought mallrats was the funniest thing I'd ever watched when I was like 13 and then that movie Dogma came out and I was like "holy poo poo that was bad, he really screwed the pooch on that one" then went back and watched Mallrats and realized it was actually just bad too. 17 was just too old for Kevin Smith.

I honestly liked his movie Tusk where the guy gets turned into a walrus. I probably shouldn't have but somehow it did it for me. I like the guy, the stories about what he did to help Jason Mewes and his drug addictions are really quite touching. He let the guy stay at his house for a long time and kept him close all the time and kept him busy to help him recover, Jason Mewes would probably be dead without him.

Dogma fails because it falls into the trap of assuming christianity is a lot more progressive than it is when in truth it's an inherently awful religion that humanity would be better off abandoning to the garbage disposal of history.

I don't get this thread. Kevin Smith has never made good films. He's made a handful of entertaining films. Clerks and Clerks 2 both fall in that category. It's like some of you are expecting him to morph into Kubrick.
