I need to check WaPo on this, but I wouldn't be surprised if Trump's donations to his "charity" increased in 1995. Why? Bring his taxable income down to 50m. Do some other numbers work, yadda yadda, suddenly you're sailing tax free for 18 years.

Why the drop off in 08? Well, he's big into real estate, right? The market crashed in 08, he probably claimed another massive loss, and probably got another large amount of tax relief, /again/, to the point where he doesn't have to use his charity as a means to gettting out of taxes.

I've tried to find some background on whether Trump actually made or lost money from the financial crisis in 08, but I can't really find anything. Does anyone have more info?
